Jump on the SDX bus to get to the Vegas sign. Really easy!

Good places to eat near Fremont Street - we've had the breakfast buffet at Main Street Station a couple of times - very good, and excellent value with a 2-for-1 voucher.

:D Thank you ever so much, very kind :)

Too good to be true, arrived last Sunday an hour early, waiting in MacCarren for the delayed return, only showing 1/2 hour at the moment.

Decent 6 days away, apart from an evenings poker in the Venetian, M&M world (only spent $80???) and a very messy evening in O'Sheas never did the strip at all. Jerry's Nugget about a mile north of Main street station has a very decent diner inside, wonderful steak and eggs $11, on site bakery amazing cakes and pies (key lime is wonderful). DON'T WALK there as you head through skid row.

Stayed at the Gold Coast as part of the Expedia deal I bought, hotel is serviceable enough and rooms comfortable, but the retail and shops do close pretty early on weeknights. You'd need to bring something back if you want a late snack.

Spent most of the week at the Orleans playing poker, which if I did the same type of trip again I'd choose the Orleans.

Went out to see the LV 51's on Tues and Weds at Cashman field (hence Jerry's), I was recommended the field seating which was pretty good, they played Alberquerque and there is some history between them so crowd was bigger than usual, 51's used to be the affiliate team for the Dodgers, this was taken over by the Toronto Blue Jays, the Dodgers transferred the affiliation to Alberquerque and also took the 51's long standing manager with them. There was a lot of verbals going on but I wouldn't call it abuse, I'm afraid their sledging is like their comedians 95% of them aren't funny.

All this entertainment for $14 plus $4 for parking. Oh yeah! don't eat before you go (I did), I managed a foot long hotdog that had toppings that need to be seen to believe. The second night I went for it big style and had a Philly cheesesteak, with everything on it, it conservativley weighed over a pound. How much did these gourmet delights cost under $10. of course a bit more when washed down with a bucket of coke.

You can poke your tiny tubs at the flicks, I saw one podger all of 12/13 with a 4 pint carton and he got through it, on sale from one of the concessions for less than $20.

I was one of the first 1,000 there on Tuesday so got a replica John Kruk shirt (he used to play for them and was a good ML player? he now commentates on ESPN? so I was told). Weds was a bit of a washout for me as it was Budweiser night, all Buds $1, I don't drink!! I was paying $2.50 for a coke.

Only being there 6 days I pretty much just rolled around town, still hired a car £140 through Expedia, as I was solo I had a compact which was fine not my usual bfo4X4 or charger. No hassle for upgrades by Dollar or extra insurances, prepaid tank of fuel was $51 compared to £72 the last time I filled up at home. I did about 120 miles and used less than 1/2 a tank, and I got Nectar points, with the package and the car it was 1,200 points in the kitty.

The incoming has landed, they may well get "Jersey Girl" turned around near to time.

Disappointment of the trip was the Palms (first time in there), what a load of poseurs, like going to an Essex disco). Weird to see wearing Jimmy's and Blaneks queing up at Maccy D's. No I'm not a fashionista just overhearing girly catty gossip whilst I was in the queue behind them.

Oh well time for a walk about, I'll take questions??

Is it just me, or did anyone understand that?? lol
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Spursman- Don't suppose you noticed if the 7 card straight flush bonus on pai gow poker at Orleans had gone? It was over $320 000 when we were there in April, it was really difficult to get a seat as people were hoping to hit. Know you play texas poker but just thought i'd ask :) Did you have a good run on the poker?

Reddeb- There is also a cheesecake factory at The District at Green Valley Ranch. This is a drive off the strip but I like it, the area has a very different feeling to the strip, very calm and peaceful. I think its worth a visit if you have time and a car.

If you are outside my guess (I havent been in may before) is that jeans and (stuff ?) will be ok, bear in mind that when you are inside, everywhere is air conditioned so it never gets hot
