Yes the Bank Buster slots are still there in the same place.\

Didn't see any Queen slots this year although we have the past couple of times. American Idol and Wheel of Fortune seem to be in favour at the moment.

Thanks luci, the missuss is happy with that and is now even more eager to get there now

My favourite slot this time was Wicked Winnings II, I had watched it on youtube and slotmachine forum and decided that would be the one I would search for.

Found it in Paris, Wynn, Bills and PH. 2 hours before leaving for airport I played it in PH, usually play around 60c but decided it was $1 bet day. Had put $40 in and nothing so put $100 in, played $15 then hit a great spin........$1600!:j Had a hand payout very excited:T

https://www.webjet.com (not the .au.com version) - managed to get flights to Manchester for £945 for the 2 of us with Virgin Atlantic.

They are direct to Gatwick, then you change to Heathrow at a cost of £76 in the taxi (or Nat. Express for cheaper but I would _pale_ on a coach) and get the BMI connect up to Manchester.

For a lot less faffing you could just skip the BMI flight and jump on a BA flight to Manchester from Gatwick for £71 for the 2 of us all inc. We're doing this. The thought of a possible traffic jam on the M25 after a longggg flight gives me shudders.

That's an excellent price for Virgin flights - last year we paid just over £400 each return from Heathrow to San Francisco on one of their Miles+Money fares, this year for every option I looked at to the west coast the prices were more like £800pp

And yes, flying back up from Heathrow does seem to make more sense than transferring airports in London just to make the BMI connection!

Just a word of warning though as you'll presumably be booking the BA flights back to Manchester as a separate ticket - make sure you leave plenty of time to make your connection. I think we had something like 2 hours last year to make ours at Heathrow which I thought would be fine but we missed it because another plane had nicked our spot at the gate on the Virgin flight. I just hadn't left enough flexibility in the timings for something like that to go wrong.

The guy on the BA desk was very sympathetic but because the internal flights were the cheapest, non refundable sort, and because the transtlantic flight was not with BA and booked separately, he couldn't do anything other than sell us new tickets for a later flight up to Manchester. That would have cost about £90 each so we ended up hiring a car and my husband drove us back up North - not what you want after a transatlantic flight, he was guzzling diet coke to try and stay awake!!

Part of the problem at Heathrow is that we had to change terminals to make the connecting flight and the place is so damn big. I've never flown to/from Gatwick so don't know what it's like, it might be easier / quicker in terms of getting from one part to another, but it was such a horrible experience (I was in floods of tears at the BA desk from being so tired after a long flight and then having all the extra hassle :o) I wouldn't want anyone else to have to go through that if it's avoidable.

    south terminal at Gatwick.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

In addition to only one of each in the book - some are limited to one per person per year and some require you to present a players card to redeem, or to take to the players club booth with your card to redeem.
