We sat in these coming back last year and they are directly in front of the emergency exit and the recline seemed as normal as all the others - wasn't the same as some of the BA planes I've seen which definately have the limited recline in one of these seats. You aren't immediately near the loos - I'm fairly sure there are 1 or 2 rows of 4 seats in the middle that go back further and they were much closer.

We also seem to recall them reclining at least somewhat, though possibly not as far as normal...they are close enough to the loos that sometimes it's not a good thing. :)

Worst thing for us about the last of the pairs is the people who congregate in the area back there - either waiting for the loos or just hanging out...usually several people each time we've had them decide to flump back against one of our seats while they are waiting - apparantly oblivious to the fact that SOMEONE IS SITTING IN THAT SEAT...very annoying if you have just drifted off to sleep and just rude in general.

We never minded being last off the plane - it was worth it to have a pair on our own for the duration of the flight.

I'm surprised Palms have a cinema, thought it was just a hotel for young single gorgeous party types! ;)

It's just off the casino floor -just by the foodcourt.

Palms is only trendy late at night-the rest of time it's pretty nice and normal .

This is probably an extremely stupid question but can someone please tell me what comped means? I've been reading this topic for weeks now and that pops up everywhere and I thought I could just ignore it but I just need to know now!

if you gamble enough the hotels give you free rooms / meals / shows etc depending on how much you gamble.

Friend I work with gets 10+ rooms per night free when he's in Vegas. All meals free. Tickets for all the big fights. 55" TV in his front room.... but he does gamble 5 digits a day

In addition to the detail listed there, now some of the clubs are pretty much self-managing - so it's not necessary to speak to a host or wait for one to find you or even speak to casino marketing.

We book our comped rooms online, for example...and some clubs (Total Rewards and !!!!!!, at least) allow you to redeem any comps for food, tickets, etc. direct at the source - so you can hand your players card over at the restaurant you are interersted in and pay for part or all of the bill with points on your card.

We like to gamble, so it's a no-brainer for us to make sure we join the various players clubs and use our cards - may as well take what we're offered....we normally lose way more in a year than the 'free' rooms would have cost us had we paid for them...but that's OK with us because we were going to gamble anyway...one key thing is never, ever gamble for comps. :)

    Hi,

anyone know any good flight/hotel/package deals for Vegas from either heathrow or gatwick?

Expedia's prices are extortionate...I've been to Vegas many times and I'm not paying nearly a grand to stay at a rubbish hotel at a rubbish end of the strip ie Stratosphere.

Have you gambled on your previous trips? If so are you a member of any of the players clubs? Have you checked hotel prices that way? As photome suggested, many of us book separate and find we get better deals that way...worth checking at least.

I normally find Expedia are pretty much middle of the road pricing with occassional very good deals (on flights-as Ferf says it's a rare regular who books a package) try checking out a scraper like www.kayak.co.uk to see if your expectations are realistic (a lot of people are suffering sticker shock at the moment as flights are much more expensive than say two years ago for example Easter two years ago I paid £300 -this May I have what I consider to be a good deal at £450 for flights however for July I'm struggling to find anything sub £700 )
