I refuse to go look see if they've dropped. I booked 10/5 last week for £445 from LHR-with CO which I'm happy with.

I think there's a double miles offer with CO flying from Belfast btw

Well, they were over £700 from Glasgow for the same dates:( Not that I'd go in May !!

Checked it last night - what a price - only 15kg backage though :( and with Mrs McP's shopping habits we'd be well over - that said we're only back 12 days ago.......so maybe not!

There are also Glasgow flights on 29 June and 13 July but more than £700 i think.

    30/03 - 06/04 flights with Thomascook from Manchester & Glasgow £310 (£280 without luggage/extras)

Oh for the days of the Mytravel latedeals, went on several of them booking on the monday leaving the wednesday,£164 twice £144 even saw a prices as low as £100 and I am sure once I was astonished to see a price of £84.Never been the same since thomascook took them over. Also back then you could untick the meals not pay for them but they were served to you anyway.

Interesting I technically travel solo to Vegas a fair bit (meeting up with US friends so sometimes I'm solo in Vegas before they arrive or after they leave) and I'm curious as to what makes MGM "the only choice" for you rather than some of the other hotels.

It's nothing about the hotel itself and from what I've seen in reviews and advice on this forum, trip advisor and various other Vegas-centric websites I could probably find a hotel that is widely regarded as superior to the MGM for the same price.

However, it's my first time going to Vegas and the MGM has always been my quintessential idea of what Vegas is, for friends of mine it's Caesar's, for me it's the MGM. Basically for my first trip I'm keen to stay at the hotel that I've thought of for the last few years while planning a trip in my head that I could not yet afford, after that it'll be a matter of working my way through some other hotels, cash permitting of course.

My brain must still be in la-la land, weirdest jetlag of all my trips so far, either that or the old Alz is finally setting in. saw the news showing sales queues for the new ipad, which triggered a factette about when I was in Harrahs Laughlin.

they have hosts who roam around the casino asking if you want drinks and then taking your order on an ipad, this transmits to the bar and a cocktail waitress appears with your drink. Chatted to one and it is a mobile app that seems to work, ordered a few drinks over several hours and not one was wrong and delivered to my hand, even to my individual seat at a poker table. Not sure if it's going to be rolled out across the board but an interesting novelty all the same.

    Hi All

Been a busy few weeks, so not had much chance to get on, passports received, estas printed off, travel insurance sorted, today just booked the fair fx $ card through the site, seems the cheapest way to do it as my debit card is on the "cards from hell" to use abroad :rotfl:. All I need to do now is get DD & DH outfits sorted for the wedding, my dress still isn't here but I am confident it will be

2 weeks today :j:j and I will be off.

I going to print off a lot of the places to eat/free things to do, we have the 2 kids with us and are only there for 5 days. One of the days is the wedding, and one the hen day so not a lot of time to do stuff. There is sooooo much useful info on here and froggit your map is fab :T

I have put $1100 on the card, do you think this will be enough? Its only 4 nights/5 days we are staying, we have to buy our own food with the exception of the wedding meal (I hope)!! The men are having a mini stag do there as the groom has already had his big one here but I have told DH he can have money for casino but when its gone its gone ;)

Can see who the boss is here!

Thats enough for food especially if you stick to buffets and get bogof with various coupons.

Not enough for DH to gamble with though!!!

For best deals keep checking daily.

Grand tower rooms go down to about $55 a day plus tax, plus of course the resort fee so the cheapest you are likely to find is about $80 a night all in (sun thru thur)
