I do like the look of the place.

Perfect example of why it's so hard to really give recommendations to others - we both think the renovation is awful. :) Better than before, certainly...so there is that...but we don't like it at all...at least not the casino area...but it's all down to personal taste which is so variable between people.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Some should snap that up. You will not get a better chance at that ridiculous price
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Thanks luci, emailed Platinum as they had us at $109 and they reduced it to $99 including upgrade to Princess suite strip view with free wifi and wine. Already booked with Carriage House but we love the Platinum so much, and at only $10 more a night had to go for it. Maybe we might get to try out the CH but not this May

Just reservered our seats for our virigin flight tomorrow - just need to complete online check-in now in around 3.5 hours. Interesting to not that the seats are released for reserving before T-24 hours.

Went for the back two seats together, H/K. Travelling as a two so thought this outweighed the disadvantages? Good decision?

I dont think they recline (much). See seatguru. Also youre by the bogs and the bog queue. And last off the plane/back of the immi queue.

See if you can get a few rows forward but still in the two.

Where did you get your maps from pls?

Sorry not been on in a few weeks, so apologies if this is already answered, there are maps at the very start of this thread but I got mine from a friend of my DH who has been a lot, more like books rather than maps.
