    How grown up?

If she is 18 plus there is no problem, they have just made the main pool adults(over 18) only.

Means that familys get a very small pool (the old GO pool)

She's 27 so that's fine. Obviously not good for families though.
    It's someone else's fault.

Luci hadnt realised you had been there. thinking of going there for my bday meal, but got some negative responses on another forum.

I have rcom voucher so will prob go now

If you are definitely going, book the limo as soon as you know the date as it gets booked up quickly. We tip the driver in both directions.

It's not the best food you'll have ever had, but it's pretty good. You can see the menu on their website. Hubby usually has steak and I have a pasta dish, but I found mine to be quite salty last time so think I will go for the steak next time. There are 2 cuts of steak, ribeye and New York strip I think and the ribeye is the better of the two.

You can add soup to the main course for an extra $3 and the soups have always been excellent.

Sunday and Monday are half price wine nights, but the r.com cert now states that you can't use it on the half price wine nights. However I got my cert before it was changed to hoping to get both. No biggie if I don't as their wine is among the cheapest I have seen in Vegas.

So I will need to declare that I'm taking a chocolate bar or box of chocolates in to the US on the white form? Would I need to do anything special in the immigration line?

You don't do anything in the immigration line-after you've clearwd immigration you collect your luggage and go into customs.
The form asks for anything you are importing into the US (ie not leaving with) so I'm inclined to declare gifts of chocolate but wouldn't bother declaring a bar for my own use for example.

Fruit is a HUGE no no and you will have fruit taken off you-and if it's found by a sniffer dog (yes they have fruit sniffer dogs) you'll get pulled aside whether it's fruit from home or off the aircraft. Not worth the hassle-bin it on the plane.

    Hey all,

Just checking in from the Chancellor at San Francisco. The hotel is lovely and in a fantastic location. Feel free to ask anything if you're booked in here for a future date :)

Wi Fi works fine, spacious room, comfy bed, in room safe, ipod connection to the clock radio.
Would prefer an extra dead bolt on the door, and at times, you can hear people in rooms around you, but not so much that it's an issues, and I'm a very light sleeper.

Vegas on Saturday. Woop woop..... :D
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!

Thanks, how much do you tip the driver and how far in advance have you booked it?

I was going to drive but I may go for the Limo

The Tropicana itself is starting to look mighty swish and there is a lot of money being spent. The external areas were still in heavy refurb mode, The pools and surrounding areas will look pretty amazing when finished. Certainly a massive improvement since the last time I was in there 4 years ago.[/QUOTE]

Spursman180, I was planning to stay there in September. Do you think there will be a problem using the pool, or not?

the blurb that is around is that they expect to have the place ready for the summer season, I would assume that September is fine. The main work on the pools must be coming to an end as they were tanking and sealing them when I was observing. Not with a critical eye but just in fascination of the sort of mini stilts the guys were wearing as they moved backwards through the goo putting a float finish to the surfaces.

I do like the look of the place.

We tip $5 per person each way so $20 total for the 2 of us.

You can book the limo up to a year in advance, but you have to call, you can't book online or by email if you want the limo.

I left it until a month beforehand one time and couldn't get the limo for 8pm so went at 9pm instead. This time I booked a good 3 months ahead.

They arrange for the limo to pick you up 15 mins before your reservation time and it is normally from the valet at your hotel, but they will tell you exactly when you call.

BTW, Casa di Amore is right next door to the Gun Store.
