Has anyone used Sundance helicoptors for a Grand Canyon trip?

I have booked one through Viator and the voucher has shown the company used is Sundance.

Ive paid £182pp and on their direct website the tour shows as $419pp so using current conversions looks like Viator gave a good deal.

I was hoping someone might know what they are like, ive checked out the reviews and most are very good.

    Thanks
    Joanne

This is who we booked with when we went lasy May, they were very good can't fault them, just had to pay the tax direct with sundance when we arrived though which I hadn't realised.

Doh! Knew you'd ask me that! The truth is, I'm looking for the right balance of all three. But perhaps, location (mid strip), cost (would be happy with a great room in a cheaper hotel), then pool (we're only there 5 nights).

Maybe Ballys, Paris or CP (if you can get a deal on a non classic room).

Ballys has large rooms and is cheap. Ferf is your resident Ballys expert.

Paris has nice rooms and is a good price and if you can get a Fountain view on check in is great, not a great pool though
Going back to Flamingo, If pool isnt so important I was going to suggest relooking at it but the good rooms there are the GO rooms but they are not very big and wouldnt IMO be comfortable with 4 people in (nowhere to store cases)

Have you checked the friends and family link

Link says thru till march but clicking on links to hotels it has been extended

We used Sundance one our very first Vegas trip - about 10 years ago - and they were brill, very friendly and professional. You have to get there pretty early in the morning, but the experience is fantastic.
We had a breakfast in the Canyon as well as getting to look around. It was supposed to be a champagne breakfast, but appparently the actual place when the helicopter lands is a place of worship for the Indian tribe that owns it, so you get apple juice instead ;).
It doesn't take anything any from the experience though, when you actually come up to the Canyon it takes your breath away.

although we're intentionally trying to avoid MGM properties this summer due to their additional fees

I am too WHD, I always stay in the Mirage but enough is enough. Imperial Palace for the weekend (a week in NYC first has cleaned me out!) and then 5 nights in a GO room at the Flamingo.
  • I'm planning to head to Vegas in the summer (June 23-ish) for the Electronic Daisy dance festival.

I'm going to have a good read through everything on this thread, but basically I wondered if Vegas is a cool place for lone female travellers?

I'm meeting US friends out there, but they are only going to be there for a long weekend and I thought it seemed a LONG way to go just for four days, though some might say that's more than enough time listening to dance music.

There is no reason as to why it isn't, the only real setback that I know of is a lone female sitting in a casino bar is 99% of the time a hooker. So you could find yourself getting a wide berth or perhaps pestered!

Take no notice of him .

Speaking from many trips to Vegas -about half I've either travelled solo and met with US friends there -or not being interested in their shopping trips....or being awake a silly hours due to jetlag when they are sleeping so taken myself off to the casino and I've never experienced either.

There are always plenty of single (non working ;)) women in the casinos -either partner is off playing poker or golf whatever , or a solo trip or just not with their group. Honestly it's no issue at all.

If you are going to go to clubs it's no different to going to a club alone in a city-if you're comfortable doing that in the UK-you'll be fine doing it in Vegas.
