The Bass Pro shop is brilliant. It had loads of animal scenes dotted around the place.

You can get there by Shuttle bus. Click for the link.
This one is a link to the Aquarium webcam.

Well i will definatley go now i know they have a shuttle :D Can't wait. I'm a big kid so i'll love the mermaid.

Still no luck though with Thomas Cook regarding the short connection time. Spoke to three departments and eventually got cut off while i was in another queue. I've sent them an email instead so we'll see what happens. One lady i spoke to said Delta shouldn't have emailed me directly and that no change was showing her end......

We did like the buffet - thought it was great.

And while I'm thinking of it - we tried the Orleans buffet for our first time this trip - for lunch...it was excellent. More "basic" food than many, but very very good. And they had ribs. I thought of Stuie. :)

    hehe !! ;):D:D:D

I love BB Ribs, most favorite food of all times!!!! Think thats a buffet place on my agenda now!! 77 days to go for me!

Another great on with kids, off the strip but worth the trip is Sunset Station. It's opposite the Gallaria Mall which I love and has bowling, cinema and a creche all inside! The creche (kids quest) is fab, about $7 an hour (varies with age) and can be used whilst you are in the casino. They do need immunisation records though so take red books :)

    Hello all

Just found this forum, have already booked for Vegas and arriving on 11 June 2011. Staying off strip slightly at the Carraige House near Planet Hollywood i believe, has anyone stayed there before, any comments or photos.

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

    Hi folks,

I'm off to Vegas in a couple of weeks and I'm away when the CL quarter finals are on. Being a huge footy lover (that means I like footy a lot, not that I'm huge! Though I will be when I come back...:D), I'd like some recommendations on places to watch (real) football.

We'll be in the Orleans when the matches take place. (And yep, their buffet is good value but I missed the ribs!!) Can anyone suggest a place? We have watched football in the ESPN zone but that's a bit more geared to American sports, and food.

    Cheers!

The ESPN zone has been replaced by something else. I can't remember offhand what.
Many of the sportsbooks will put football matches on one of their screens for you. We had ESPN in the room at one hotel too. A lot of people recommend the Crown and Anchor but I believe they charge for some games. The info will be on the link I posted. Another "English" pub is the Queen Vic at Riviera. They advertise screenings of football matches on facebook, although I've never watched one there.
