DD and her friend are going to Vegas in June to celebrate their 21st's.
They're staying at the Palms so will be partying there without a doubt, but can anyone suggest any other good (safe:eek:) bars for them to visit, please? Also any shows for that age group? Must see-s?

They're booking the Grand Canyon helicopter tour (Sundance I think) , but would also like to visit some shopping malls if anyone has any particular favourites? They love shopping but doubt their budgets will stretch to true designer wear even with 50% off :rotfl:so malls with trendy midprice-range clothes?

Pretty much everything mid strip is safe (although I realize MumSafe and TwentyOneYearOldsafe may not quite match up)

The Voodoo Lounge at the Rio is nice and easy to get back from.

I doubt they'd want to party at the less glam off Strip places anyway (I don't count Palms/Rio in that) which are likely to be the dodgy places anyway.

The 2 clubs at Palms are so cool Plus the playboy bar is amazing. Mgm Studio 54 is ok for a little bit more chilled evening and I think Voodo was where i ended up one drunken night.

Scoot City is an organised trip / tour (aka. convoy) around Red Rock mate, so you'd still need the car if you're planning on doing other stuff :)

(unless you're planning on robbing one to save you hiring a car... but i'm not sure they go fast enough for you to make a decent get away!) :D

edit: sorry - completely misunderstood your question - thought you were asking if you should hire a mustang for a trip to vegas, or hire a scoot city 'cart'! lmfao

...you can tell it's friday - ignore me! :D

Thanks Duchy & Adamg, will let DD know about your recommendations

Yep I've gone into mum overdrive, not sure why cos I went to vegas with my other half a couple of years ago, and Iwandered around the Strip a few times on my own when he was in the gym (obsessed gym fanatic :o), I felt totally safe (more so than my hometown of Leeds city centre on a Sat night LOL!)

Hi there, I'm not sure if it's in this topic or not as there are a lot of pages to get through but I had a question about visiting Las Vegas. I'm 21, and visiting in November, when I'll be 22 and my boyfriend will be 21. I was just wondering where everywhere is like with ID? We will obviously have our passports with us, and our drivers license, but last year I went to California with my family and one of the people I was with was 28 and her driver's license and passport where refused in a supermarket because they didn't have her height and weight. I was just wondering if Las Vegas is as strict as this?

I am guessing you know that you may not get a Mustang (unless you have hired the hertz special) . This subject has been talked about a lot recently.

Good question about scoot city tours. I havent done it so cant comment on the tour itself but I have driven out to red rock a couple of times, so like you I cant treally see the point in going in the "buggys"

Never heard of that, yes Vegas is strict on gambling and drinking but both are legal over 21 so you will be OK but will def need the ID everywhere

I know. I haven't heard that before, maybe she just got a fussy cashier. I've read in a few places to just use a photocopy of my passport incase I lose it, do you think that would be okay so I could leave the passport at the hotel, or should I just bring it anyway?
