i've find a deal through smatervegas (posted by someone on here) for a flamingo go room a few dollars cheaper then the tropicana. should we stay with the trop or hit up the flamingo?

i know tropicana have re-done their rooms but then so have the trop, both look good.

is the location for the flamingo that much better than the trop that it wins through? how about table limits?

i notice the flamingo doesn't have resort fee which is always nice, but at only 3 nights and the benefit of wifi in the room i'm not too bothered about the trops fees

    thankyou.

I would choose Flamingo over Trop everytime.

I dont like to gamble anywhere around the TRop including in the Trop itself.

Whereas I like gambling around the Flamingo, If you are looking for lower limit tables area the around Flamingo wins hands down, with Casino Royale and Bills (I like Bills)

ditto on Flamingo over Trop...but we're also mid-strip people and would gravitate back there no matter where we were staying I think. I don't like the Trop after the refurb much more than I liked it before the refurb (which was not at all) so I may be biased. :) I have also never stayed there so couldn't comment on the rooms...but Flamingo has, I think, a lot better vibe than the Trop to start with.

And if the pool is an issue, I'm given to understand Flamingo has one of the biggest and best in Vegas (though it gets very crowded).

    No one wants that. :)

And no, I'm not remotely girly so this just isn't my thing (pretty sure I would trip and fall off the stage, break a leg and end up in a cast the rest of the trip too), but I know a lot of people who would love it. Although, I would be really intrigued if it was something along the lines of a day-in-the-life of a showgirl tour - I think that would be fascinating.

Definitely the Flamingo over the Trop. Location-wise it can't be beat, it has a great pool and is close to everything. You can easily cover the north and south hotels on foot. From the Trop you are looking at transport to get north to the Fashion Show Mall, etc.
