i've find a deal through smatervegas (posted by someone on here) for a flamingo go room a few dollars cheaper then the tropicana. should we stay with the trop or hit up the flamingo?

i know tropicana have re-done their rooms but then so have the trop, both look good.

is the location for the flamingo that much better than the trop that it wins through? how about table limits?

i notice the flamingo doesn't have resort fee which is always nice, but at only 3 nights and the benefit of wifi in the room i'm not too bothered about the trops fees

    thankyou.

with tax, just worked out its abit more but once you factor in resort fees at the trop, it works out $30 dearer at flamingo.

    Hi All!

It's been a long time since I have been on here. Simply as I was so sad to be back in the UK after my first visit in Vegas I couldn't bring myself to read everyone's stories! I'm back though, as next year as me and my partner are going back to Las Vegas next year and I am already so excited.

Some of you may remember my partners trip report (MSE Name GAV86) he sent out a trip report which is linked on the first page about all the stuff we got up to. One of these things was the ScootCity Tour of RedRock Canyon. We are now in the process of trying to win another trip there and wondered if we can call on you awesome MSE's to help us out? We need as many people to like this picture before the 22nd of February. It would be awesome if you guys can help, I look forward to lot's of chats on here and getting as much as advice as possible for my next trip!

    The link to like is:

    then our picture which is...

I will owe you all so much if we do win! :)

Just booking up my car can anyone recommend a good map and where to get it from over here? Really don't fancy a sat nav.

Also really liked the look the bootleg canyon zipwire from the freddie program, ferf where have you seen discounts for it??

    Cheers

I honestly can't remember - seems like it may have been on travelzoo or groupon before...pretty sure I have seen vouchers in some of the free guides you can pick up in taxis, etc.

You could try getting a free issue of 24/7

As for a good map and assuming you don't want to go to far afield from the greater Vegas area, before we had a satnav we liked this one - got ours at WH Smiths:

Now I have seen some pretentious hotel websites in my time but this one is up there in the top 1. All that hype and no substance, still can't work the place out.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

So we have arrived in LA and are just getting ready for the drive to Vegas

To the person who recommended the Hollywood Hills Hotel I salute you. Perfect for an overnight stay (and they upgraded us to a magic castle suite - basically a full apparment! - which was nice) - we walked to the chinese theatre, had a nice pizza in the mall and walked the walk of fame. Just perfect for our couple of hours stopover!

Wondering if you could you would be so kind as to help? We are going out to Vegas in October for a wedding - we need to be there from the 1st to the 8th inclusive. The wedding is in the Wynn therefore ideally we would like to stay there or one of the close by Hotels, e.g Wynn / Encore, Venetian / Palazzo, T.I or Mirage. We are looking to do it as cheap as possible, there are 5 of us and we are looking for the cheapest way to do this rooms and flights - poss a suite if thats the best option?

https://www.lowcostusa.co.uk seems regularly have good deals for the higher end hotels...but most hotels have a surcharge for each person over 2 in the room...so I would be somewhat surprised if it wasn't better value to have 2 rooms.

Although, of those you mentioned TI and Mirage would be less expensive than the others I think...so lowcostusa may not be the cheapest option - they seem to come out on top on the higher end but not the lower.

You'll probably need to do some research and compare various options - get prices for flights...hotels...and flights+hotel.
