We have locker at Legasy golf club with enough storage place for 2 sets of clubs and all the clothing, shoes and balls, (we even have a small snow sledge in it) and it costs us $60The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
November / DecemberYou would consider paying $100 for the convience of someone keeping a small box of lotions for you when you return? And after the first year it goes up to $160!

I'd be interested in finding out more about that. I bet some others would too.
We have an arrangement with a friend that costs us zero, but thought it might help other frequent visitors.0 -
MarchI thought renewal was $99?
It is interesting...I like the idea that the box would be waiting at the bell desk and left at the bell desk. It would be nice to know that all our normal crap was waiting for us...we could possibly store a coffee maker in there and save faffing around with buying one every trip...it would be nice not to have to pack all the normal toiletries, cool bag, misc bits that take up room and weight in our luggage. I almost always forget to bring shampoo and conditioner ('conditioning shampoo' provided by most hotels doesn't cut it for me) and almost always end up paying too much for it when I realise. And I'm pretty sure if we didn't have to pack and haul them in our cases each time, we could think of quite a few things it would be nice to have in our hotel each trip.
I think if we went 3x-year on average, we might actually seriously consider it...twice a year it's just that little bit too expensive for us.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
November / DecemberStoneman's solution might work since you always have a car.0

AprilIf you mean the reviews on TA, I would take them with a large pinch of salt. If you read between the lines, people are giving it 1 star for really petty thing. It always seems on TA that people except ultimate perfection and when there is a small issue, they give the property 1 star.
If you read the discussion forums rather than the reviews, no-one had a bad word to day about the Cosmopolitan.
If you are considering it, the rooms are all non-smoking. However you can smoke on the terrace if you have one.
Think i will go for the Cosmo - like the look of the place & location. Dont mind smoking out on the balcony - it just the thought of being in the Vdara with a 20 min walk to the street to have a puff.
Virgin's website advertises a 'terrace studio' so assume all of Virgins rooms have balconys. But might go for a 1 bed suite upgrade which shouldnt cost me anymore. Will call them at 9 to sort0 -
For anyone who loves video/arcade games, there's going to be a new club opening downtown in April called Insert Coins

Article about it - http://uk.kotaku.com/5764579/a-vegas-club-offers-a-wine-list-of-vintage-games
Sounds fun!0 -
MayFor someone like me who does shorter (hopefully) frequent visits the box thing might work. I usually travel handbaggage only so end up buying decent shower stuff and hair products (decanting never works for me it always leaks) and dumping it after the trip-add in a decent coffee maker , sunscreen etc and it'd definitely be a break even situation for me (I don't ever have a car in Vegas though -might not be economic for those who do)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

That looks like a strange concept to me.
Video games are primarily played by teenagers, whereas this club is aimed at adults who are going to pay for bottle service as it is a night club.
I would think people who want to go clubbing, want to do just that, not sit and play vintage video games. And gamers want to play not drink and play
I may be wrong and it will be a success0 -
I think they're going down the hipster route, which could make it successful. I have a lot of geek friends who used to play arcade games as kids, and I think they would visit for retro fun.0

Not for us I don't think - the convenience of having it waiting at your hotel is what makes it interesting to us...if we had to go and get it, I think it would lose most of its value even if in the end we would save more.
I think for us it would be more likely break even than any massive savings, so the convenience factor, and the potential to have a few more comforts of home we wouldn't bring back and forth with us make it interesting.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
