No idea if this is a good rate for the timeframe or not, but Delta sale is on the go:
Vegas - between 1st March and 7th April from £532 (from LHW / LGW), book by 1st March

We are staying at Encore...what are our chances of getting an upgrade with the $20 trick? We are not bothered about a better room but want to get a decent view.Slimming World Target Achieved 13/09/12!0 -

wouldnt think the $20 trick is necersarry (sp) There is basically only 2 views. Golf course and strip. 2 queen rooms only overlook the golf course, so if you have a king room booked you are msot likely to get a strip view. I would just ask nicely for a high floor strip view.
Whoops just realised you said Encore all of the above applies to the Wynn, but as the Encore is the same shape, I would still ask for the same as above0 -
November / DecemberI have never tried the $20 trick at Encore, but they have usually asked if I would like to upgrade to a higher floor at $25 per night
Also if you are light sleepers, I would go for a higher floor, as the nightclub noise may keep some awake0 -

I got a highfloor at Wynn without any $20 tip or any upgrade fee (think it was floor 36) but just remembered I did post on facebook about how much I was looking forward to staying at the Wynn and that I would love a highfloor and they replied on facebook that it was noted on my reservation.
On arrival my room had been preasigned after noting my request0 -
SeptemberI am struggling to choose which hotel to stay at for 5 nights in Sep(Sat to Wed). 1st time visit for us too, so I think its best to have a hotel on the strip.
Does anyone recommend Treasure Island? Its seems to be the best deal available for me to book at the moment 30% off £350 for 5 nights. Been looking at PH £437, Vdara £572, Mirage £509 and MGM £534 too.
I suppose I could book it and cancel if I find a better deal.0 -
Marchwe had one night at TI last trip - got a free offer (which was weird as we'd not played there in ages, but hey!). Room was nice enough, nothing spectacular, but better than some we've seen and certainly clean and comfortable enough. We did get a corner room which had views east (Wynn) and south (strip) which was cool.
We had excellent luck in the casino and a nice dinner in the Vietnamese restaurant (Pho). We have had good meals in the past at Kahunaville but it's been a few years, and I know that some haven't been impressed. They have a Starbucks on site which for us is always a plus.
We didn't check out the pool.
It's a reasonably good location we think.
We would probably never stay there for a full trip as we get more benefits from Harrahs/Caesars properties since our play at any of them counts toward what they offer us...whereas TI is stand alone...but we enjoyed our time there and would stay again if we got a good enough deal.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
MayThe first time we stayed at the Encore I requested a quiet room away from the nightclub noise. Well they certainly gave me that - a room on the 63rd (62nd?) floor at the furthest end of the hallway facing north.
The next time I just asked for a high floor facing south, as it is a better view of the strip than north. We got a room on the 30th floor with a great view of the Wynn, TI, Mirage, Caesars, Signature, Rio, Palms, Trump, the Wynn golf course, right down the strip and the mountains in the background.0 -

Many thanks for the reply! Sound pretty good then!0 -
MayI have asked my contact at Quickrooms if their rates include the resort fees where applicable (I don't think they will). She is checking and should have an answer on Monday as the suppliers will be closed at the weekend.
She has said I can give her email address to anyone who wants to book direct with a person rather than the website so let me know if you need it.0
