Mayi've find a deal through smatervegas (posted by someone on here) for a flamingo go room a few dollars cheaper then the tropicana. should we stay with the trop or hit up the flamingo?
i know tropicana have re-done their rooms but then so have the trop, both look good.
is the location for the flamingo that much better than the trop that it wins through? how about table limits?
i notice the flamingo doesn't have resort fee which is always nice, but at only 3 nights and the benefit of wifi in the room i'm not too bothered about the trops fees
thankyou.
Flamingo definitely ! No brainer as it's a Go room.
Location can't be beaten as it's so central-right opposite Casars
Pool is one of the nicest -and there is a seperate "adult" pool too
Don't play tables but I'm sure someone who does will be along soon.
Wi-fi free at the Trop *is* probably the only thing that is better but how much time you planning on spending in the room ? How much is the Trop resort fee-Wi-Fi at the Flamingo is about $12 -probably balances out to about the same.
For me location is king and the Go rooms are nice -$20 tip will likely get you up on one of the highest floors will a view of the Bellagio fountains and a fridge in the room (has always worked for me when booking a Go room) and silly as it sounds -I love the TV in the bathroom mirror in the Go roomsI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

The wedding is in the Wynn therefore ideally we would like to stay there or one of the close by Hotels, e.g Wynn / Encore, Venetian / Palazzo, T.I or Mirage. We are looking to do it as cheap as possible, there are 5 of us and we are looking for the cheapest way to do this rooms and flights - poss a suite if thats the best option?
5 adults
Flying from Scotland to Vegas
1st-8th Oct 2011
Cheapest hotel and flights??
From where in Scotland as it make a big difference whether you are flying from Aberdeen or Glasgow?
From Aberdeen you have to first fly to a hub such as LHR or AMS then it's one or two stops from there depending who you fly with.
From Glasgow you have a few other options such as US Airways to Philadelphia then LAS.
Have a look at Page 1 of this thread for some information.
There aren't often offers these days for the hotels you have mentioned. However, totally against the grain, you may be better booking with a third party rather than direct with the hotel.
Try https://www.lowcostusa.com as ferf suggested, also https://www.ba.com mentioned earlier, https://www.quickrooms.com and https://www.booking.com0 -
MayIf you want to do it cheaply -look at the rates for the Riviera -Easy walk to the Wynn and spend the hundresds of dollars you save on fun stuff. Rooms are fine and chances of an upgrade for free good (first time I stayed there I was on a super cheapie prepaid priceline rate-and got upgraded to a one bedroom suite with balcony). Riviera has an old Vegas feel about it-not as glitzy as some but comfortable.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

SeptemberStarting to plan our trip in Sept, flight is from Gatwick, staying at the MGM, there's 8 of us going so we thought of going up the night before and staying the night in a Gatwick hotel - can anyone recommend a decent hotel, with somewhere for a meal, also do they have transport to get you to your terminal ?(unsure which terminal we're going from). Complete novice, any help much appreciated. ThanksDecember 2011 Sesky Watch, strimmer, tv, hoover & steam cleaner. March 2012 Straw dogs blueray film.0

I always like to stay at the Sofitel, I book the room with breakfast. The hotel is attached to the north terminal, the shuttle thingy to the south for check-in. the restaurants were ok, but the breakfast is very good. lots of places in both terminals for usual fare.
The best thing of it all is the stress free start to the day, a good breakfast and a slow walk to check-in.0 -
Marchalso a fan of staying on airport, though it's relatively expensive.
Bonus if flying Virgin is you can use twilight check-in the night before to get rid of your cases, get your boarding cards...then no standing in the queue to check in in the morning.
The Hilton is more convenient for this...looking forward to our stay shortly!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
MayIf you are couples or really close friends Yotel is another option. It's a capsule hotel -rooms are a bit like a shp's cabin -very compact but with a wonderful monsoon shower -tv -it is lterally yards from the Virgin check in. Last summer I checked in very early then went back and showered-at my leisure before going through security-but it is VERY compact !! You pay for the time you stay (minimum 4 hours) it's very clean, nice duvets and will be a cheaper option than staying at one of the traditional airside hotels (Hilton and Sofitel)
Oh btw it's VERY compactI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Sounds good, our flight is 11.00 in the morning, I'm a very nervy flyer and the less stress the better . We're flying with Virgin so is that South terminal?
