I believe ATOL doesn't cover flight only or flight/hotel packages. It only covers holidays sold as packages under the Package Travel Regulations.

I sent hubby with our trays to where they were hiding in the galley as I wasn't prepared to put up with that.

    Bravo for you:T
You can actually hear people moaning that they can't get up because the trays are still out, unactable, actually forgot about that, another reason that I won't fly with them in economy
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

just booked our flight, virgin direct at £571. could have got £517.90 if the gf was able to come back a day later, but no dice.

looking at prices and trop looks best at £460, new rooms. we are staying 6 nights 15th march - 21st

circus circus is a good price but i know the place is a dump.. however the new rooms look great too.

IP is a good price/location but reading the reviews it sounds pretty grotty and smelly. got slated on tripadvisor.

LITTLE bit worried as i spoke to someone today who said vegas is good for 3 days, then you get bored. hope not!

    :rotfl:

good luck with getting bored . personally i could have done with 3 weeks first visit .

yes one casino floor can be pretty much the same as another . but have you read what you can do in Vegas ?

    sight see the hotels
Chill out by the pool or indulge in the Spa
Go on Retail Therapy binge ( super luxury or Bargain hunting you choose )
See a quality show every night ( and every afternoon)
eat yourself silly (super cheap all the way to super expensive)
party in nightclubs, or just get drunk in a fun bar ( love duelling pianos myself )
    Ride roller coasters
    See the Grand Canyon
    see the Hoover Dam
take a road trip out to places like Death Valley
take in the hotel attractions ( e.g Shark reef)
    Play golf or Ski
    play casino Games or Poker
    take a helicopter ride
take a boat ride on lake Mead
    Drive a NAS car
    Shoot a AK 47
    catch a Baseball match

ooohh and me hears a baby about to wake up for her feed ...anyone want to add some more ?

also like i said take trip advisor reviews with a large pinch of salt. ask here if you fancy staying @ IP . it might be right up your street .
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

I hope those that are staying at the Trop come back and write a review of the hotel as I don't think anyone here has stayed there.

I wouldn't worry about anyone saying they got bored after 3 days. You will probably find that they didn't do any research before they went. Some of us here go for 14 nights twice a year and still don't get bored. Even with 14 nights we still don't manage to fit in all the places we want to eat at.

The first time we went for more than a week I did feel we ran out of things to do after 8 or 9 days, but since then I've always done a planner and find that helps a lot. We've been back 8 times times since then and have never been bored.

I agree with taking TA reviews with a pinch of salt as far as Vegas goes. Some of the best hotels are well down the list due to the way they are graded by TA and I personally wouldn't stay at some of the ones they have in their Top 10.

Very good offer if you ask me!

Upgrade to "GO Rooms" and SAVE at the Flamingo - From: $45/night
    Code: IFRUP
    Offer Expires: June 30, 2011

    https://www.totalrewards.com/hotel-reservations/main/?packageCode=IFRUP&propcode=FLV&view=ratecal&clickid=Qz325bUO3wUuWMM3mfy88XdYUk1VOjyFg1Z8S80&iradid=1108&irpid=10160&rd=AFF&aff=aff

Had to cancel the Monte Carlo and instead I just booked two nights with taxes and resort fees for 120$ in total. Anyone knows if they have free internet available? I guess free parking and Valet parking should also be included in the price.

    Cheers

Well I still haven't got bored with all Vegas has to offer, and we were there for 53 days last Oct/Nov.

We'll be doing it again in two months time. Can't get enough of the place!

Holidays are really subjective-It is clearly obvious that posters on this thread aren't bored after three days as most have gone multiple times and are planning on going again but one person's dream destination is another's idea of hell.

I'm reminded of the lovely couple who came to see me when I worked in travel and told me they wanted to book a particular holiday..... I looked at their choice and it simply didn't match the type of people they appeared to be -so I asked them what attracted them to this particular resort. "Oh our friends recommended it". I then asked if their friends liked the same type of holiday they did "Oh no they like it lively-we like quieter places" still the penny didn't drop so as tactfully as I could I sugested that there might be better choices for them and found them something more suitable at a nearby quieter resort. Months later when they returned from holiday they came in to thank me. They had visited their original choice of resort for the day whilst away and had realized they'd have hated it .

TripAdvisor is so subjective and people complain about the oddest things -and with Vegas reviews opinions are further coloured by gambling-if you have a big win gambling at your hotel you're going to love it regardless-if you do nothing but lose you're more likely to find fault with everything.

No they don't (but I still think it's the better choice :) )
