Depends how long you're going for -what dates are these prices for ?

Treasure Island I think is nicer than NYC NYC for sure so I'd knock New York New York off the list on that basis.
Imperial Palace the rooms are tired but the location is fab. (Maybe more a mates than a couples hotel tho)
Hard Rock-never stayed there but I think if I was going to stay off Strip there are better options for that kind of money. I'd look at Gold Coast or Orleans instead. Palms sometimes has some good deals too.

If these were my only options I'd narrow it down to either TI or Tropicana personally.

These dates are for 15th - 21st (March Maddness going on. It even SOUNDS expensive!!)

I'm def discounting Hard Rock due to it being off strip. And NYC on your recommendation.

IP might be worth a look purely because of location as its our first time.

Found premier/signature room for £367 another to consider perhaps?

I've stayed at the Riv twice.

Rooms are definitely nicer than IP's but it is up the North end of the Strip. It has a bit of an "Old Vegas" feel to it which I really like. You can walk to mid Strip-took me about 15 minutes or the Deuce bus stops right outside. It's up near the Wynn -and has the Peppermill and Ross very close which are all pluses :)

However if I was stuck on budget for your dates I'd go for Gold Coast total cost for your dates is $439 (yes dollars :)) it's a nice hotel -it IS off Strip but has a free shuttle which takes ten minutes that runs every 20 mins and drops you at the Flamingo (less time than it'd take from the Riv on the Deuce with Strip traffic ) and the saving would mean the odd cab could be budgeted for if you felt the need. Gold Coast will price match any deal you find on line so you'd get this rate but it'd still be cancellable if a better deal popped up elsewhere later. Rooms are newly renovated -flat screen TVs etc. Oh that price includes taxes but not resort fee -which is $3 a day.

Thanks. I think its between 3:

    Imperial Palace - Deluxe - £441
    Tropicana - £456
    Riviera - Encore £337, Signature £363, Premier £367

OK if you really want Strip then of your three I'd go for the Trop as I think they are working hard to reinvent themselves post renovation. IP rooms are depressing and for me the location really doesn't make up for that enough.
However if it was between Riviera and Gold Coast (see my edit above) I'd choose the Gold Coast as the rooms are a bit nicer and I like the hotels right next to them (Rio and Palms) and the shuttle is better than the Deuce as it's quicker and free :) I'd rather spend the saving on doing stuff than location.

I liked TI and NYNY. We stayed in a Park Avenue Strip View room and the Petite Suite respectively. We quite like the casino and positioning of both of them too (their neighbouring casinos etc).

They're both quite easy to get outside from the rooms too.

On our first trip, we wanted somewhere where we could have a room that had a view of the strip from the window - ended up staying at Luxor and TI and weren't disappointed with either. At TI (back in the days of MGM running it), they even sent a free bottle of bubbly up to the room cos it was the missus' birthday :)

I'm booked into the Trop for the week..
Got my dad booked into the Trop for the week
About to book my mum and her mate into the Trop for the week
and in a couple of weeks, will be booking a mate of mine into the Trop for the week!
I should tell the hotel i want commission!!! (although cos all booked through UK brokers, i have blagged free show tickets, and a suite for myself!)

I say from reviews, Trop seems good and working hard to compete against the others!
