    Hello ladies

I didn't go to Curves, it's such a nice day I just went out for a long ride on my bike instead. Ah, lovely fresh air! :) I passed several shops selling chocolate but didn't succumb. I am totally determined to shift this flab before I go away, something has just clicked in me. I'm also reading a great weight loss book called Thin Secrets (got it for 99p in Oxfam) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thin-Secrets-Slim-without-Dieting/dp/0955411106. It's a fantastic book, and I find myself nodding in recognition as that's the way I used to be. I used to KNOW these secrets without realising it when I was slim! I'm going to keep reading it tonight, OH is going out and I have the house to myself (bliss). :A

I've been to Superdrug to stock up on Batiste. I bought 6 and might go back for more as I really have never seen it that cheap EVER... it works out at £1.16 a can!

I also went to Boots to spend my £5 No7 voucher before it runs out. The evil No7 lady wouldn't let me buy the Christmas gift bag with it (the £6.50 one) so I settled for some muslin cloths for 62p.

I got a skincare voucher and tried to use it on the Youth Code but YC isn't included.... TYPICAL!!! I bought the eye cream with points anyway as it's 1/3 off and I need a new eye cream (cough). I'll try it tonight.

I'm going for a bath now, going to do a face mask and pamper myself like mad! Woo! :)
Does anyone eBay their unwanted unopened toiletries? I've got quite a few bits and bobs so thought about eBay. Is it worth it?

Yes, I have! Perfumes sell really well. Just make sure it will be worth selling when postage is added on (i.e. don't bother listing anything heavy and cheap as the postage will put buyers off). Good luck xo

A few ins today: 3 dry shampoos (courtesy of the Superdrug offer) so won't need to buy any more of those for a while now and a mini set of nail polishes as a birthday gift.

One out: Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Night Treatment Gel. WIBA? No. I didn't use it religiously but it always seemed to bring me out in lots of little spots on my cheeks (I usually get big spots on my chin and sometimes forehead so I put it down to that product as it's not my usual 'pattern' and only seemed to happen when I'd used this!).

ETA: I got my stash mainly through trying something, not really liking it and discarding it or seeing something I thought might work better and ultimately forgetting about what I'd bought before. Some were gifts but mostly my own doing I'm afraid!
ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)
  • Can I quickly ask...what is the new skincare voucher at Boots now?

No, please don't post any more bargains on here!! LOL!

Went to BS today with good intentions to return a Brazil nut body butter and 2 lip balms.....ended up doing an exchange instead for an almond body butter, orange shower gel and almond shower gel....all going to be put away for birthday pressies though.:A

Friend I met for lunch arrived with a LUSH bag of unwanted gifts (tiny bit out of date but all smell fine) which she split between me and our other friend - I got 2 bubble bars - so excited! I haven't had one of these for years because I do feel they are overprice at £3 these days.

Couldn't resist popping in to see what yee all had been up to today too! I have used shower gel as shampoo - my hair doesn't feel great after but I do have very thick unmanageable hair - it's just like using a cheap shampoo - I guess they put some softener thingy in nice shampoo? You do have to use a nice conditioner afterwards.

Task for the night is to finally sort out all the smellies I have picked up in the sales and sort out into 'presents' 'to be used now or soon' or 'stash'. Can't decide if this job is heaven or hell yet.....

    :)
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

I think its only building societys that offer passbooks. Mum has a account with Britannia which is pass book only. The only problem is branchs are sparce (well in my area anyway) so paying in money can be a bit tricky

So just had a lovely bath and now have a few more UU's-

Avon kewi shampoo, wiba, no. Its not mu HG and I only got it because it was reduced. Also my hair felt veryu 'tacky' after using it.

Cupcake face mask, wiba, no! I have brought one before and loved it. This was was free as I returned black pots but it was solid in the bottom and runny ontop. Even after stiring it it just felt wrong. Plus it didn't dry as usual and my skin feels no different, unlike last time.

Fairtrade foot lotion sample, wiba, no prefer charity pot for my feet.

Snowcake shower gel, wiba, no. Itu ws a forum special (I think) and it seperated very quickly. I also prefer the smell as a bar of soap rather than a shower gel.

Don't building societies tend to use passbooks?

Well Ive sort of got some UU - Ive mixed my vitamin e oil with my bottom butter - have now got a full tub (the tub from my horrible orange body shop stuff!) for my face.... IM off for a bath in a bit,so will UU my pantene (and be down to NO shampoo at all - I STILL havent bought any despite talking about it for weeks !!!!) and I should think it will be the end of my botanics hair reducing moisturiser too. WIBA?? no- its nice, but there are others that are just as nice out there. (plus,im a ted baker convert - so yay!!)

Im going to ebay my fearne stuff and the gok set that I got in the boots sale - dont like the gok smells at all, and im not all that impressed with the fearne box - though if I dont sell either,Im sure I will think of someone to give them to !!

I had a potential in today too - Im a subscriber to Glamour mag - and there was a letter with todays that gives subscribers the chance to buy 15mls of Thierry Mugler "Angel" perfume for £15.83 with a free full size Angel shower gel... (total RRP would be somewhere around £55) I thought I might get one and ebay them - do you lot think they would sell??? seems a bit silly to not do it if they will sell well? (never sold perfumes on there!)
