I had joined this challenge last year but then fell off the band wagon. Christmas gifts and January sales haven't really helped my stash so I am afraid I will have to join again this year and hopefully I will be able to stick with it this time

  • Oops...slight blonde moment...I meant the daily smooth, it's deeelishh... I literally squeeze every last bit of it out.
I got the blue bottle (Butter UP?) for xmas, and had a quick sniff, it smells quite nice, but don't think anything could ever replace the mist you madly stuff...mmm :p

I thought I was going MAD lol. The daily smooth is one of my HG, I just adore it :D I cut the tube open once I've done the 'squeeze as much as possible out' and there is LOADS left, enough for another 2 or 3 days ;)
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

I have a friend who asks me for some form of toiletries at least once a month. That's when she has run out of something.
Body sprays seem to be a frequent request. She doesn't work and I'm happy to help her, but she could derail my not buying.

I've just given her one of the very few Original Source shower gels I haven't liked, the Winter special edition of black pepper and cardamom.
I might put some small bottles to one side and give her those instead of the full size bottles. I know, that sounds mean...

However, my daughter (32) did briskly point out, "Mum, when you were out of work, nobody helped you, you just bought Tesco Value."

does your friend do this because she is cheeky, because she thinks you are a soft touch, because she knows you have a stash or a combination of all three :)

I'm with your daughter on this - and bodyspray is hardly an essential (must remind myself of that next time I'm tempted :D).

I don't now no, thats why its still in there :rotfl: I was unwell a few years ago (when I was younger) and just fancied a matey bath, paid nearly £1.50 for one bottle and only a capful has been used. It needs passing to a friend who has kids I think. Just never got around to rehoming it :o

I CANT use matey - it brings me out in a rash :(
I have my first used up to report! As posted previously, we have been left with bottles of Radox bubble bath that was bought for son's ex-girlfriend whilst she stayed here. I've been pouring it onto a body puff to use it as you would shower gel. There wasn't much left of one bottle and five showers later, it's empty!

I had a sudden thought strike me. I have a friend who asks me for some form of toiletries at least once a month. That's when she has run out of something.

Oh - just had a thought(cant remember who asked now) - the Sealed Pot Challenge is over on the Debt Free Wannabe part - basically you get yourself a pot, and put as much loose change as you can into it - the idea being that you dont dip into it until the end of the year, and then you count it and use it for whatever.... I put in things under 50p, cant afford to put 50ps and £1s in very often - and occasionally I will dip into it when I need something and Im particually poor(thouhg I use it for things like horse feed when i need it before pay day and I even had enough for her shoes one time - i dont just dive in when i feel like a splurge!)
My favourite is roadkill - thats the bits you see on the pavement and in car parks.... its amazing how fast it all adds up !!
Im going to start trying to put £2 in my pot for each thing I UU this year but dont have to replace, just to see how much I end up with.... ( I will have LOTS from soap!!! )

    xx

I'm sure your friend is very grateful for whatever you can give her my lovely. :A

Some people prefer minis - I always spend ages staring at the holiday miniatures in Superdrug just because I think they're cute!:o:D They're nice for a "butterfly who likes to chop and change products often as well. (It can be a bit of a grind working your way through big sizes sometimes can't it, and you just fancy a change?)

I had a lovely at home spa evening yesterday. Lots of use ups:
    - Clarins vital light (kept going and going this sample) - wiba no. On price. But if I can get it in a gift with purchase I recommend it.
    - Hair treatment 4+4 from local hairdressers shop - wiba maybe. My hair is in such a state it's proving difficult to know what is working. I must get it cut soon as that will help lots.

I naughtily opened the S&G face scrub that came with the tote (dont know the name). Its a bluey colour and quite menthol in smell. This worried me as that sort of thing normally flares my skin up. So I will use this in conjunction with my others.

Will update my inventory later. Stay away from the shops ladies and any online offers - do you NEED this stuff?
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
