I don't now no, thats why its still in there :rotfl: I was unwell a few years ago (when I was younger) and just fancied a matey bath, paid nearly £1.50 for one bottle and only a capful has been used. It needs passing to a friend who has kids I think. Just never got around to rehoming it :o

I used to get Matey when my son was little but never tried it myself. You could always use it as handwash. I've used a few unloved shower gels and bubble baths up that way.

No UUs to report, but a few 'chucked out' !! Mainly dried up samples from magazines or liberated from hotels!
Doing my yearly sort out, but got caught by DH:eek: - thank goodness I didn't have storage box No2 out or the Sanctuary set I bought myself for Christmas!
Thought I'd have to buy conditioner, but found 3 .. they are the leave in type, but they'll do! plus, of course, 23 individual samples!!
I now have a weekend toiletry bag packed... just need somewhere to go now!
Like another poster said, samples now in basket(s) so I can use them up.
Well, best get back to the stash!!

always...I used about half a bottle of shampoo to a bottle of conditioner, I do have very thick, frizzy naturally curly hair though. I've learnt to buy 2 bottles of conditioner for every bottle of shampoo now :)

No! This never happens to me - I always shampoo twice and condition the long bits of my hair really, with only a very small amount on my head (IYSWIM). Conditioner always seems to last me an age, and I've got 3 on the go at the moment which I never do with other products. I've also got a huge Pantene just added to the stash that my mum tried and didn't like:eek:

On the bright side, 2 UU today
Sanex dermo moisturiser 500ml - WIBA? Yes, we often buy Sanex stuff especially if it's on offer somewhere.
Avon Anew Clinical Thermafirm Face Lifting Cream - this was a free sample I'd had for a while, but it's lovely. I used the packet over 2 applications but could easily have got 4 out of it (just wanted to put on here that I'd used it :rotfl:). It made my face really lovely and soft, sank in easily with no residue (which is amazing considering how much I slathered on :rotfl:). I've just had a look on the Avon website and it's on offer at the moment for £13 from £20 so I'm going to order some (oh god, I never would have done that before this challenge!). I usually use Olay which I'll continue to use in the morning as it has an SPF, but think I'll start using this at night time as no SPF.

Not UUs but down the loo/ in the bin & out of my life (plastic bottles recycled):
    - a solid hair wax
    - a watery hair gel
    - a seperated Dead Sea ginger bath soak (25p from Boots clearance, about 3 years back)
    - a bottle of rosewater skin tonic that smelled of parafin
    - a 3 year old greasy 'non greasy' suncare spray
    WIBA any of them? no.

I also amalgamated 2 different part used rose fragrance bubble baths to save space and have some new & unused shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and 2 shower gels put aside to donate to chapel.

I was surpried to find that next month I'll have to start buying face wipes again - I just have one pack left of the 17 or so I had this time last year :)
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

    Finally some more use ups:
Elemis collagen neck/chest cream - wiba no :(. On price and the fact that many (all?) Elemis products have a shelf life of 6 months once opened (that little symbol on the back). I'm pretty sure this also brought me out in a bit of a rash so I used it up on my hands, knees, elbows (sounds like a song!).

Elemis collagen hand cream - wiba no :(. Again on price (about £25) and how long it 'lasts' at 6 months open - and this really did deteriorate. Think I've had this open over a year and the consistency has changed. Shame as my nails loved it and grew well using it.

Sleek all in one foundation in Shell - wiba no :(. Price good, colour match to my skin good, consistency and use of product - both tricky. It's oil free which is usually ok on me but this was a bit thick so all in all wont be buying it again.

    Using but not enjoying :(
L'Oreal leave in conditioner - a yellow spray in bottle. It tames the hair alright but leaves a weird texture to the hair almost as if I've dipped it in sugarly water, so weird.
MUA (£1 brand in Superdrug) bronzers - I have Shade 1 and 2. And now matter how much I try it looks odd, doesn't last, and it's very easy to put way too much on. I know only a quid each but honestly I'm not impressed. Think that's the difference between dead cheap make up and slightly more expensive - it's easier to put on, mistake/idiot proof for me.

Will def need to update my inventory - be back later. :A
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

  • Hi all im rejoining this thread as i was doing quite well until the Boots S&G offer and i somehow walked away with two tote bags :o.
I am afraid i havent had time to read through the thread so pls excuse me if i ask a daft question. Are people still putting away a token amount (mine was £"2 last time i did this challenge) everytime they finish something? Also are we including toothpaste, razors etc?
Well apart from my toiletry addiction i am also trying to lose weight and eat healthier and get fitter by around may time. So good luck to you all and i will pop in for support every now and then if thats ok. Last time i did the challenge i managed to pay for my car insurance and tv license outright with what i had saved so am hoping to do the same this year.

  • Hi all

I have been good today, doesn't happen very often. I have looked at the Body Shop sale with the extra 20% discount code and have resisted. I haven't even stocked up on presents for later in the year. :T

I also have one use up to report. It is a Dove Body Scrub in a tube. It came as part of a gift set last year so don't know much it cost. WIBA not now I have discovered S&G no I won't.

Have had a no spend day today that's good for the mortgage free challenge as well as here.

Hope you are all having a good day

  • Two more UU's! No 7 microdermabrasion WIBA - Already have as I love this makes my skin feel really clean and smooth! Although also have S & G face scrub to in the stash.

Also UU Tea-tree facial wipes - got these in Poundland so bargain and I would defo get again.

I am feeling a little bit proud of myself as I have resisted the S & G value pack on the grabbit board and the Asos bargains and I am also on day 3 of no smoking!

    Hiya Tia,

I think some people are putting money away with each use up but not all of us. Likewise some people are including razors and toothpaste but not all of us.

I did at first - but took them off my list after a while because I don't have a problem with those areas, and never had a stash of them. They are good for a morale boosting UU now and then though if you're not getting very many! :D

    That's a very difficult hat trick! :eek::D
