lynseydee, so sorry to hear your news.noelphobic wrote: »I used to get Matey when my son was little but never tried it myself. You could always use it as handwash. I've used a few unloved shower gels and bubble baths up that way.
Thanks noelphobic, never thought of that. I was thinking of maybe toilet cleaner but hand wash is better as it will still be put to good use
UU's coal face sample, wiba, yes as that dark angels and mask of magnaminty are HG products for my face. However I still have a chunk in storage so that may last a couple more months :rotfl:0 -
And this would be my ideal/Holy Grail stash:-
Foundation - Mineral = Collection 2000; looking for liquid HG may be Clinique superbalanced, Chanel(not tried) or Clarins (not tried for years).
Bronzer or blusher - Laura Geller, Clarins.
Moisturiser - Body Shop seaweed; Clarins.
Face masks - Clarins; Mudd.
Body butter - Champneys moisture miracle.
Bath/shower gel/scrub - Radox, Champneys mint, with a shower puff.
Hand cream - Nivea, Clarins.
Mascara - Rimmel volume flash.
Eye makeup - BarryM liquid eyeliner; Mac's eyebrow pencil in fling. But eyeshadow no HG found.:(
Cleanser - Clarins.
Eye make up remover - L’Oreal gentle, medal to EH for introducing us:)
Exfoliant - Dermologica.
Lip gloss/lipstick - no Holy Grail found here either yet.:(Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

EssexHebridean wrote: »Glad to hear you like the Thermafirm stuff - it is nice isn't it, for my money it's one of the best of the Anew moisturisers. I hate to lead you into further temptation, but you can order a free mini pot of it at the moment too when ordering a full size - try code 08284 - at least you can if ordering from the Campaign 2 book - might be worth checking whether you have a local Avon rep, as that way you save the postage from ordering online too. If you're anywhere near South/West Essex or North East London, PM me and I might be able to help.
Thanks for this, I've never used any of the Anew products before, I got the sample with something else. my Avon rep is a friend from my work and also running club, I've already ordered it but I'll send her the above and she can check, thanks a lot :T0 -
noelphobic wrote: »do you use the shower gel before or after the scrub?
Well I do my washing (of me :rotfl:) then I scrub the bits that need scrubbing. I don't think it would make any difference really though, it's doing the job whatever order you use it in I think0 -
Lyndseydee - big hug. Nice of him - let you help him pay off his loan, then tell you that.... (sorry if thats a conclusion made up of 2+2=5,but strikes me as mean!!) Dont give him his stash back in a useable form, Im sure theres room for it in the bottom of his bed, loose (so you can recycle the pots, obviously - dont want him wasting valuable packing room with pots!!!!)
xxDo not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
Lynseydee, I'm so sorry - sending hugs.
Regarding your toiletries count, do you need to count tealights? I think of these as being candles!0 -
I'm a little late joining this month and didn't post much last month as I was too ashamed - I fell off the wagon big time:o:o:o:o:o
Any way brand new year and a brand new start - my aim this year is to buy no toiletries at all unless I run out (and having seen my stash I can't see that happening much before 2015:eek::eek:).
My other problem is that DS2 has gone and got himself a pt job at Boots to help support himself through Uni and already there are alsorts of freebies winging their way to me:eek::eek::eek:
Good Luck and a Happy New Year to all:):)
Save money on toiletries: no new/duplicate items until I've used up all existing supplies

Oh lynseydee, I'm so sorry to hear your news! Hope some baths will relax over the painful times there will be ahead.
I forgot to report another UU and 4 out's! Sold 4 shower gels on the Lush forum (just 6 more to go!) and then UU my Avene Cleanance Soapless gel cleaner. It's my HG and I have another one as a back up. Going to try and finish my Clarins samples first though!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170
