So sorry for you Lynseydee. At least you won't have to worry about being able to afford toiletries. On a purely practical note, do make sure that you check out what benefits you are entitled to like the 25% reduction on council tax for being single. I suppose it's never a good time to hear news like that but new year- a bit of a stinger
Thanks for the advice Kaz, but we're still living together at the moment (seperate rooms) as I've told him I couldn't afford to live on my own and there is very little, if any, equity in the house. Know I need to sort it out sometime but it's the last thing on my mind at the moment.
I wondered that too when I read back mummy!
Lynseydee, go and root through his stash and see what is still in original wrapping and therefore returnable. If you want to feel less bad about it, pay it off your joint debts?
The stuff he has isn't high end stuff so wouldn't make much of a dent in what we owe.
And you're right about the toiletries, at least I would be the nicest smelling tramp on the street :rotfl:Did owe £9,951.96
Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

For what they cost it wouldn't be worth it. Just what to try and move on.Did owe £9,951.96

I've just gone through and rejigged my list and in a year my toiletries have gone from 522 to 497 with 154 of those items being new in 2010, although 100 of those items are tea lights.
Might take me a little longer to use stuff up this year as my husband told me on Saturday that he doesn't want to be with me anymore. Some of the items above are his which I need to take off my list but will do that when I get round to sorting his stuff out.
have a strange internet hug from me too :grouphug:
I have been very :money:today... I used some shower gel for bath foam and I filled my handwash with shower gel too. Then I put my deoderants into order of least full and I will be working through them in order...
oh and I cleared out everything which has been open for more than 3 years and goes near my face - something is giving me spots and I'm damn well hunting it out! :mad:If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
Hi Lynseydee
Sorry to hear your news
I've been your position, for me after it was after 10 years and he stayed a futher two.
Acceptance comes after a while, but while it's raw don't make any big decisions, for me there was no anger only sadness. Fortunately we have been able to remain friends though it wasn't always easy. Not Rachmaninov

Hello my pampered princesses!
I will be back in this month, just struggling to read through all the pages, 13 so far and only on the 3rd of the month  looks like lots of nice girly gossiping and hopefully we will be getting rave reviews of all the products received over Christmas! (pampered princesses, rave reviews, girly gossip...i think i must have swallowed a crateful of alphabetty spaghetti for that atrocious alliteration - there I go again :rotfl: )
lynseydee - hugs for you, he sounds like a rotter to say that so soon after the holidays - hope you feel better soon about it all, and hope this year is good to you xx
welcome to all the fabulous newbies, we're a very friendly thread :hello: yes you will be using up products, but i apologise in advance, i do often confess my bargain buys on here and accidently tempt others in the process! Hope you can stay stronger than me!
Some UU to report, back on topic!
2x face scrubs - I decided to throw these out as they are coming up for a year each and I don't really use them, I think one was from a cosmetic trial and one was a cheapie from Cuticura WIBA not really, I do have others in the stash which I now have to look one out, think a S&G one will have to be picked!
And one face wash cracked open tonight to use in the bath for the first time gave me the most almighty rash all across my face, and down my neck and decollette! I will be gifting that to a girl my mum works with who doesn't have much money to spare on toiletries so if she doesn't want it i'll bin it. WIBA not unless I was going to a fancy dress as a sunburned tourist :rotfl: I might have to pay a visit to the shops to buy the Neutrogena grapefruit facewash that I trialled before and loved it! softened and moisturised my skin so well, I do believe that could be a HG product for me.
have a good day ladies and stay strong....I will be working my way through the pages now and then may take a peek at Grabbit...

I remember taking pictures of all my stash last year for this challenge, OMG, I had so much, think it's quite a bit less this year, so hopefully that means I'm impulse buying less!:hello:No more toiletries challenge :T

One UU today - "Each Peach and two's a pair" Lush Massage bar - WIBA? Probably if can get some free stuff along with it, it feels nice and get absorbed easily but I am not too keen on the smell.
Moving to a "Strawberry feels forever" massage bar now
