As promised here is my toiletries list. I don't have many HG so haven't pointed them out but will do when I need to restock them. Its not as huge as some on here and it doesn't contain make up as I don't wear any. The only other thing I haven't listed is sanitary wear etc but thats because I buy them online and thus buy in bulk anyway
Fingers crossed I get some UU's in the next few days.

I am not going online to order Slammer or Back for breakfast which although not tried is supposed to be as good.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

I know it's so hard to stop ordering lush stuff but only get it when you've used everything else as it's a fresh product it will probably not be at it's best when u finally get around to using it!I want to buy happy hippy now so much, totally lovely fresh smell..but I have two bloody massive soap and glory clean on mes thanks to christmas before I can even think about it. Hmph!

:rotfl: Kaz, so sorry. I must say I agree with Berry, I only buy lush when I really need it because I love it at its best. The only thing I don't apply to this is soap chunks because you get so much for your money and they last for ages.0

Not as disciplined as most of you but have had a clear out of my bathroom today and thrown away some products that I know won't get used. Did find another bottle of Aussie shampoo I'd forgotten about.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Got another 4 bottles of it, but gonna be good and use a Fcuk one now.:hello:No more toiletries challenge :T

My message for you all, and one which I would like ALL of us to follow is to please take a leaf from the book of

who is an angel and try to do something for someone. Find a talent you are good at and share it.
Bless your friends and family and sorry for a depressing post xx
Bless you honey! You could have knocked me down with a feather when I read that. :TI get a lot out of what I do and recommend a bit of volunteering to everybody if you can. Our local homeless shelter for for young people always has a motherly smiling lady on the front desk whose sole function is to be warm and welcoming to people who come in. Anyone of us could do that for afew hours now and then. (I only say that because the hardest part is deciding what you could do, or knowing what is needed, I hope I don't sound as if I'm being bossy:eek:)

 Hi Frogletina, I used one thing at a time for a while, trying to use the oldest first, or the smallest to get the stash down.mcculloch29 wrote: »Well, I've been sat doing some maths... quite an interesting exercise, to say the least. (Actually, it's given me an idea for some worksheets, I teach maths to adults, but that's another thing entirely).
I wash my hair 4 times a week maximum. It's fine, collar-length straight hair that I wash with the no-tangle method (comb hair before washing, do not tangle, wash hair as if you were sponging down a delicate cloth).
This uses a maximum of 8 ml of shampoo, possibly less. (Teaspoon and a half plus a smidgen if you are non-metric.)
So that is 32 ml a week, 128 ml a month.
On that basis, I will not have to buy shampoo again for THIS YEAR, I've got that much in various bottles, plus at least two bottles of shower gel that can do dual duty as shampoo.
I don't believe that it will go 'off' in that time, some of the bottles have been open c. 6 months max.
So I'm declaring 2011 My Year of Not Buying Shampoo.:j
That is interesting! I think I use a similar amount. I won't have to buy shampoo for quite some time either. It's hard to work out at all precisely because sometimes my daughter uses mine. Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -
PaP you must smell lovely with all that fruitiness!
I am very envious of everybody's lovely lists, and I loved the photo! :T
I'm coming at the challenge from a different direction this year. I have a list of things that will run out and I'll need to buy at some time, and I'm keeping an eye out for when they're on special offer so that I can buy them at the best price. I'm not planning on buying anything that's not on the list at all.
Here's my plan:
Three months
Conditioner,
Deep conditioning treatment (pref elasticizer)
Foot Cream
Nail varnish remover
Six months
Mir Argan Oil
Shampoo
Mascara
Lip Balm
Castor Oil?
Grapeseed Oil?
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Shiseido Daily Bronze
Hair dye
Nine Months
Mir Cleansing Gel
Mir Exfoliating Cleansing Gel
Dermalogica Clean Start Bed time for Breakouts
Nude Cleansing Facial Oil or similar
Foundation
Tinted moisturiser
Twelve Months
Shine shock
Lancome BiFacil
Primer
Mally Brow Boost
Perfume
Eyebrow and eyelash tint
Foot cream is the first thing I'm going to run out of, but I'm going to try and manage with body lotion until I see Scholl or Flexitol on three for two.
I've already survived my first QVC beauty TSV unscathed so I'm feeling optimistic!:dance::dance:Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -
Well, I'm doing my annual declutter as well as trying to keep my smellies in line, so as part of the tidy up, I emptied out my toiletry drawer. I came across a few more samples from magazines, that I've lumped together and put on the dressing table to use up in the next few days. Also threw away an M&S lash primer, which went on lovely if you just want white lashes lol, but clumped up as soon as you put mascara over the top. Last tried to use it about 5 years ago now, so it's no doubt riddled with nasty bacteria anyway!0
