No Buying Toiletries in Jan 2011 !!!!

Ohh dear, I've just braved looking at my stash as I was going to put all the not so nice stuff in a box to use up...only most of it is actually Lush/Dove or S&G so gave up on that one.I have 2 big hat boxes, 3 smaller ones and another 5 other boxes full of stuff ekkk. I'm always in the bath but the stash doesn't go down very quickly, I'm always buying bargains when there's offers on but think I really need to not buy anything until I've run out of whatever it is I need.
The makeup's not much better either! My friends blesh them have brought me a few posh sets in the last few years but I only really wear it to go out on the town and not doing much of that now I'm being good and tackling the debt so at this rate I won't need to be in Boots for years lol and when I do there's advantage points to spend!Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
Excellent! What does she use my lovely? Cos it took Marta more than one dye to get to blonde. If there's one that will get here there in one step I'm sure she'd want to know the name of it.
:rotfl:I am convincing myself to go dark now!!! temptation temptation temptation! *puts hands on ears and tries not to hear the name of that amazing dye product* lol
If I follow my heart, I would try again and touch up roots and so on. If I follow my brain (who keeps the wallet now), I should go dark so I do not have to do touch ups every 3 weeks and thus spending money often! Lol ... but I just like it... my skin is quite pale, so blonde makes it shine, whilst dark makes me even paler!! (Or that is the excuse I am using now....)

Now have a nice little display of soap bits in the bathroom.
Plus the hatbox with the other uncut ones, waiting for me to buy an appropriate container to put them in as well.
NIce one. I know I thanked you already, but tThanks to whoever it was that 1st mentioned cutting up soaps today. Something for me to do!:j
Cats have you put all the different types in the same jar mixed? Its just if you do and they arn't wrapped in cling film the smells and colours will mix/bleed. If youudon't mind that I bet they look lovely but I like 'perfect' (well as perfect as Lush soaps get) soap :rotfl:0 -
Been good again today, and got the free models own make up set from the NOTW:j:j"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

hi everyone, cant't believe how chatty everyone is,
Marta - definately go to a local training college - the one near me does colour correction and it will be a fraction of the price you paid.
Couple of UU to report:
James brown rich moisture shampoo and conditioner -WIBA no this did nothing for my hair. Still have the intense conditoner mask to use hope its better.
dove deodrant - this was the last in the stash from last year - i didn't need to buy any deodrant last year as i had so many
Clarins - hydra quench face mask this was a tiny sample from their mini treats give away last year, was very nice but probably a bit pricey,
Clarins advanced extra firming eye contour cream - again one of the mini treats - sample to small to see if made any difference. Prefer the clinique one
Question - does anyone know if you can take stuff back to clarins - i bought the instant smoothing touch cream some time ago and i really don't like it, i have given it a good go but its not for me. I am sure that you can take stuff back after using it and they will exchange if you are not happy - anyone tried this?trying hard to be debt free by the end of 20100 -

damn I knew there was something I forgot to do today, I saw it advertised last night. Not that I need it of course
I've been good...no in's to report, a couple of outs but they were things I threw away when I was cleaning up the bathroom, the pantene shampoo and conditioner went, yucky stuff which makes my hair feel like straw, and the no7 body scrub, less than half a tube left but it wasn't going down so I gave up the fight and chucked it:rotfl:
am seriously considering taking some of my s&g stuff back to boots to exchange it for some of my more preferred products (someone suggested it earlier in the thread, thank you) just have to build up the courage!
Am working my way through a tube of butter up from the hatbox (before the tote bag), not overly keen, it's nice enough though, don't think I'll be cutting it open to scrape out ever last smidge of it like with others.*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
Well, I have just come across this challenge..., I confess to only reading the first couple of pages and then then last ones but and so am with you all on this :money:
Have so much stuff about the house and I have just put it all together in my airing cupboard in big baskets. Amazing just how much was there! The only thing I have to use, is my Pantene shampoo and conditioner (otherwise my hair is shocking ) so have instructed DH and DS to use the other stuff I have left out!! they won't mind I'm sure. I also am guilty of collecting all the shampoos, lotions, etc that are all left in hotel room - aka complimentry items...well they are now anywayI have started to try and get rid of all these annoying little bottles first...starting with the body lotions...my legs are so dry at the moment...
Love the idea of the soap jar...but I have no soap, shock horror! Just numerous shower gels, etc to use up :rotfl:"A smile takes but a moment...
...but the memory of it lasts forever"0 -
Two more UU for me tonight
M&S coconut shower gel WIBA? Yes, love the smell of this. Always buy it for holidays and this was 3/4 full from our last holiday in November.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisurising Lotion WIBA? No. Don't like the smell, it's expensive and don't think it's made any extra difference to my skin.
Things are going down quite nicely :T. I've used a bit of John Freida shine stuff on my hair when I got out of the shower - I've had it since Christmas 2009 so thought I'd better give it a go. My problem is, I've realised in the last few weeks, I had loads of stuff that I wasn't using, like samples, foot butter, hair stuff that's not shampoo and conditioner, I don't really have an issue with 'normal' stuff (apart from conditioner oddly, I seem to have a lot of this). So, I've now used loads up, gave some away, chucked some out, and put some in charity bag. Things already look a lot better:):)

evening all,
just a quick post to declare another uu: Elemis exotic frangipani shower cream: this is absolutely gorgeous and definitely the nicest shower gel I've ever used. It's very creamy, lathers up really well and smells divine - why oh why is it so expensive (boo hoo). Would love to buy this again but only if it was part of a special offer (I bought this one on a QVC TSV).
Still, lots of other lovely shower gels to uu, including a lovely Molton Brown set that my OH kindly bought me for christmas.
Hope you are all well, I'll catch up on all the bizz later (this thread moves soooo fast), xx0
