Thanks. I'm not an expert in biochemistry though, just like reading about ingredients of cosmetics.
As for natural products, there's a trade-off: alcohol is often used as a natural preservative. So the 100% natural products often contain it. Similarly, some of the silicones are natural, as they are made of silica. Latex is also natural, and can be technically organic, as it's made out of rubber tree sap. It doesn't mean that these products are good for you. Also, things like shea butter and cocoa butter may clog your pores. Whereas glycerine is man-made but you won't think twice about using it. There is no perfect beauty product
My personal philosophy is not to use things with long lists of ingredients, alcohol high up on the list, and a lot of silicones. I google ingredients I'm unsure about, and if something clogs my pores I try to remember what it's made of in order to avoid similar stuff in the future.
The seaweed stuff is the only one I've found that doesn't clog my pores/cause me spots. I've taken to using a moisturiser at night on the non T zone areas particularly with winter. :A
Use up / throw away:
2 True (superdrug make) lipgloss - wiba no. Had to throw away as so old. Didnt like as very sticky. Yuck.
Body Shop Coconut and lime shower gel sample - wiba no. It was ok nothing special.
Ditto sunshineyday who loves Elemis Frangipanji (spelling) shower cream - it's lovely but about £20 a tube - I mean that's like Chanel No 5 territory....Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Hey
Nothing to report in or out at the moment but i went to a wedding fair today and had my make up and hair done for free and it was great. I was really pleased with the results.
I intend to use the money im saving from my UUs to pay for my hair and make up so im going to need to use up at least 110 items  within the next 7 months... i think its do able just wonder where im going to find the £110 i need to put away when i use the stuff :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:and thats the least that i need to put away.
I could always do it myself but to be honest im pretty rubbish at makeup and i've still got the make up on now and have had dinner also had a good cry at a few songs on the radio and the only thing thats happened is the lipstick has come off! May need to use up alot of cleanser to budge it off my face
I've nearly finished my toothpaste but will be taking the scissors to it 2moro so i can keep my money in my purse a bit longer
Only thing i can see being a problem is that its my birthday on Tuesday and whilst i've told most people about this challenge i have a funny feeling i may be receiving toiletries... however i can't help this
Will update any UUs or INs as they happen

Oh! Yeah! Jojoba oil I think it is. I also heard of Moroccan oil, a friend buys it from her hairdresser and she said it was really good. Never tried any though.
(snip)
Hi Marta, sorry to hear about your hair troubles, I started using Moroccanoil treatment oil a few weeks ago and I think it's brilliant, you only need to use a small amount so the bottle should last ages, plus it leaves my hair really shiny, and it smells gorgeous too, xx0 -
Right, that's it...in the bin with it, it is!
Thrown away: Next Pear Blossom Body Mist
WIBA? Are you serious?! Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole! It came as part of a set which also contained a hand cream and body lotion. I have never seen such cheap, oily, nasty products in my life. Next should be ashamed to sell such low-grade tat. I can get better any day in a pound store!
*Bottle hits rim of bin and makes satisying clunk at the bottom*
And stay there! :TPlease call me 'Pickle'

I came across another couple of lip glosses over the last few days and have chucked them out too. I just don't like them!
When I UU the mini nivea the other night, I was getting ready for work. About 2am I remembered that I had left it on the loo seat as I brought down the washing instead of the rubbish. Yesterday evening as I was getting ready I noticed it sitting on the window sill. Gah! I had a N.P.I. yesterday (a near purchasing incident!
)
There were a couple of things on eBay that I spotted and added to my watch list - out of habit more than anythin - and because you don't get much Sue Devitt on eBay!
But I came to my senses and dumped them out of there. They were gorgeous, but I can do without them.
I really want to buy nothing for as long as I possibly can.
I've done a whole month before on this challenge - but not often!:D
Because of my late Christmas presents all being toiletries I'm hoping I'll be able to go all year without buying a darn thing - but I'm trying just to think short term so that I don't get overwhelmed.
This thread is so-o-o-o lovely and supportive! :heartpuls Thank you!
P.S.
My Thanks button has gone a bit screwy, so I haven't been able to thank everybody as I go along as I always do.Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -

Totally agree with you jacks. I've only been a member a few weeks but really feel in control of my toiletries now. They are organised, I've done an inventory, I am actually using them (rather than just feeling guilty) and enjoying them, rather than finding them spilling out each time I open something & stuffing them back in quickly ...
Love your NPI acronym!
Thanks all for your comments and humour. It's making this challenge such fun!0
