Also have to use up the horrid glow by JLo. Smells awful and lasts the whole day:( and have love at first glow which isn't much better:eek:

Have you thought about selling them on ebay. Perfume is one of the few (only??) toiletry items you can actually sell legitimately in open/used condition.

Might only get a few quid. but better than wearing stuff you hate!

  • Maybe I am strange because I love lush soaps. I use shower gel in the shower but always chunks of soap in the bath. Recent chunks get stored in a lush christmas tin then when I decide to use a chunk I cut it into quarters and wrap each in clingfilm. I then pop those cling filmed chunks into a lovely purple gift box in with my socks, so they make them all smelly before use. Each time I need a new chunk I move it into a clip lock box in the bathroom. When they are wet they are kept in clip lock box with no lid until they are moved back into the dry box :D

I find them much better value than lush shower gels as they last forever and the smell lingers on my skin. When I use lush shower gels them seem to disappear after about 10min :o Soaps linger all day :D

No UU's yet but I didn't make it into the bath last night, will do tonight though :T
  • I've got some time to kill. Am going to nip off, grab a knife and cut up my lush soaps. tomorrow is a spend day for me so i shall use it to see if i can find a nice glass jar to display by soap chunks in!

That was quickly done. I knew where I might have an airtight glass jar.
Now have a nice little display of soap bits in the bathroom.
Plus the hatbox with the other uncut ones, waiting for me to buy an appropriate container to put them in as well.

NIce one. I know I thanked you already, but tThanks to whoever it was that 1st mentioned cutting up soaps today. Something for me to do!:j

cats Asda have good sized jars for £1 they're the ones with the lids you seal using the metal clips. Heavens i can't think of the words but they're the same clips that you find on the Sanctuary salt scrubs.

Don't know if this helps for anyone but my mum always said to keep soap in the airing cupboard as it makes it last longer. Not that those of us with huge stashes really want to keep our stuf for longer.
  • Evening all,

Just spent nearly an hour catching up on this thread - I was waiting for the PK Elasticizer to work though (it is great, to the person who wanted advice on it - makes your hair super-healthy looking and lasts forever - I've used mine quite a few times and there's still an entirely full tub...weird!).

One UU for me: a volumising VO5 shampoo. WIBA? No, really not keen on VO5, their products always seem to make my hair dry. It lasts for ages though, so very MSE!

I've just been looking at my stash and I've started on my last bottles of body lotion, cleanser and eye make up remover. I've only got 1 more shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner left besides the ones that I'm using. Not bad, eh? I just need to make inroads into my stockpile of moisturisers, make up and styling products! :T

    Thanks LT.
That sounds like the jar I have already. It would be nice to be able to get matching ones, except there is no ASDA anywhere near me.

Your last sentence is so true and made me laugh. (Never heard of the airing cupboard trick before - but as you say, I don't need it:eek:)

you can also get similar jars in QD, the Range or any such shop like that, if you have them near you. I'm sure you'll find something.

    Kilner Jars :D

They have some in my local poundland - I'm using one for my 'silver savings' - quite large - maybe 2 litres :D

or pints - not sure of my volume measurements :o

I haven't bought any toiletries since those I confessed to buying on 2nd Jan, but on Friday I did collect two lovely S&G sets from Boots (ordered on Christmas Eve). They kindly let me get a refund for the giftsets and then rebuy them with my points:T so gorgeous S&G and more money in my bank account, just have to find somewhere to store them now.

I've got a job interview on Thursday which I need to do some preparation for. Once that's out of the way I'll do my stash inventory at the weekend.
