I've got some time to kill. Am going to nip off, grab a knife and cut up my lush soaps. tomorrow is a spend day for me so i shall use it to see if i can find a nice glass jar to display by soap chunks in!

I periodically buy Douwe Egbert's coffee when Heron (discount food retailer) sells it. It comes in a lovely jar that would be great to store soap in. I don't have any Lush soaps and will be resisting temptation.

As a footnote, I do find that any soap lathers really well on a body puff and is fine to use instead of shower gel from time to time. I can't take baths anymore as my arthritic hip makes this impossible, but if I could I'd be soaping away!
I've just brought back an early childhood memory of my Mum sluicing me off with jugs of water to rinse away the suds after my bath. I wonder if that's why, even when I was fully mobile, I've always preferred showers?
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
  • Just popped in to confess to another in:o

Was shopping at the Trafford Centrew yesterday and couldn't pass Lush without calling in. In my defence I only bought a Mango bath melt (yes just the one :rotfl:) which I promptly used as soon as I got home:rotfl::rotfl:

So in - 1 Mango Bath Melt

    and 2 UU's

1 Mango bath melt (WBA as I love this but trying to limit myslef to 1 a month awhilst I use my other bath stash ;))

BS VitE body lotion - WNBA - love the smell but too runny for me.

Off to watch the Ice dancing:D:D
:naughty: Save money on toiletries: no new/duplicate items until I've used up all existing supplies

  • Cats have you put all the different types in the same jar mixed? Its just if you do and they arn't wrapped in cling film the smells and colours will mix/bleed. If youudon't mind that I bet they look lovely but I like 'perfect' (well as perfect as Lush soaps get) soap :rotfl:

I need to get some clingfilm tomorrow. at the moment they are all together. thanks
  • I have a declaration... :money: I have finally finished the BS cranberry scrub.
I'm please that this is the last nght of going to bed smelling like a giant cranberry.:o
As I said yesterday, WIBA? no - far too watery and not much scrub at all
    So glad that's finished now.

had slight mishap in bath - may have invented new way of getting rid of stash ....:rotfl:
dropped my large pot of S&G flake away in the water
managed to salvage it and drained as much as I could
I'll see what it's like tomorrow, but I may not have escaped over-watery scrubs after all my efforts with the cranberry:T:(
  • I don't feel so bad now, i have been redeemed! But they are still there, if anyone wants to see how bad my Lush stash was a year ago:

I have a horrible shower jelly in a pot that I would like to do this with! But I am too MS :money: and couldn't bear to waste the money, so I'll just have to use it, sigh. Tried to use it as a handwash but it smelled way too strong! I bet I still have it at the end of the year! :(

Finally caught up to the end of this thread again, we are a chatty lot!!

  • I need to get some clingfilm tomorrow. at the moment they are all together. thanks

Its ok cats, I put snowcake next to rockstar once and although the light pink colour of snowcake looked nice the smell was awful. I only use cheap value clingfilm but it saves your soap :D

    UU's ~

Melomint bubble bar, wiba, maybe. I loved the bar and the smell was amazing however it is/was a retro Lush and thus could only buy online. So maybe, maybe not...

Butterball shower gel, wiba, no! It was a special and although the butterball ballistic is nice this is not so. It also started seperating very very fast and the last 100ml I used to clean the loo :rotfl:

Bamboo lush retro soap, wiba, no its now not retro and I disliked it anyways. It was nice enough dry, wet it was very earthy. Plus the fact it was translucent made it hard once droped in the bath.

    Slowly, slowly, catchy, monkey :rotfl:
