After hunting for decent discounts in my Essex area my conclusion is Kwik Fits MOT is the best value at £39.95

I went to book it on their site and initially I found that my car wasn't listed in their drop down menu style booking system- ARRRGGHHH

Then I rechecked, and it IS listed under 1981 instead of 1982 (year of manufacture not registration)...so I went ahead and BOOKED it!

Went through the process and amazingly it allows you to pick an exact date and time on their live booking system, and even pay immediately on line with a £5 discount !!!!!!!!!

At least the £5 discount was promised...if paying now. - which I did

Turned out they've invoiced me the full £39.95 so I must have missed something !! - Anyone experienced this???

Anyway..superb - they even send you an adobe invoice to take along with you for the test at the exact time and centre of your choice.

I can highly recommend Royton MOT center in Welwyn for those of you in Hertfordshire. My 11year old passed with no problems. and was only £40

:mad: SPAM Link :mad:

Is this the domain owner posting here generating an income to himself by getting many people to click on it?

A useless linkfarm. Don't even go there. there is nothing of interest.
Clicking the link above just earns the domainowner some money.

Birmingham Council MOT Centre!
Does anyone have any experience or details of the Bham Council MOT Centre? Would you say that Kwik-Fit MOT at 39.99 GBP is a better deal than the Council? I have no idea what the council charge for MOT! Thanks in advance.

Councils are likely to charge the full fee of £50.35, whereas Kwik-fit are likely to find something that they recommend needs to be fixed!

• York council do not have there own MOT Test centres but use 2 local garages that again, only do tests so have no incentive to give you a list of things that don't need doing. They are:-

* MoTest Centre - (Hospital Fields) 01904 659407

* MOT Shop - (Unit 44, Rayler Centre, James St.) 01904 431234

Hope this helps someone, xxxxPaulinexxxxxxxxxxx:rotfl: .
