HI there.
Newbie here, wondering if i can join in too?
I am up for a challenge and this sounds right up my street! And I also want to start paying of my debts, and this sounds like a good way to get a grip on my spending to start me off!!
Can you put me down for 10 NSD this month? Dont think I will count my DD's or kids bus fares or school dinner money but will include everything else. Hopefully it will ease me in.
Have managed the first one today, hopefully this is the just the start! :-):jNSD January 2011 7/10 :j

Sassenach - now that's a good Scottish word Nargle - my OH is forever calling me thatYou've got a friend here then
"Builder's Brew but hold the sugar" is the ONLY way to drink tea (though I actually use skimmed most of the time)
no no no, sorry, won't be coming over for tea....I like mine to taste of tea but milky too (more than I used to) and no sugar unless hungover or ill (usually in that order) then once i'm over that, no sugar at all. I don't like tea that you can stand a spoon in.....but if you have any Farelys rusks to dunk thats another matter....too much info?:o
Less of the "old" thankyou
Sorry Cheryl - i meant it in the nicest possible way of course....I did think of 'practised and wizened' but then though that might make you all sound like Hogwarts teachers :rotfl::rotfl:
Well, I'm couting 1st Jan as a NSD. We have been out tonight but it's after midnight and I have just transferred funds to OH account for drinks on this night, and Xmas eve.....oh carp....does that mean I'm cheating....help?! I will spend later today (sun) does counting the £ trans as a today spend mean I'm cheating???:(Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Thanks you two...I felt so much better admitting that I have a problem in the first place....so perhaps there is hope after all! I do tend to set myself far too many things to do, and expect too high a standard...so less projects, and less pressure on myself needs to be the way to go methinks!!
I have been re-prioritizing things all over the holiday period, to the extent that the Xmas cake only got iced today! Still, it has got done, and looks lovely and simple. Not sure when it will get eaten though. Perhaps I will have a small slice if I complete a project/task I have set myself! No doubt DH and possibly my boys (one doesn't like it much and the other is back to Uni on Thursday) will munch their way through most of it..
So today I have started on a list of things to do in January. I will no doubt break it down into smaller weekly and daily lists later. When I complete one, I will tick it off with the date beside it. I started doing this last year, and it helped a lot...seeing when I did things came in useful sometimes.
Actually, perhaps I will start off a spreadsheet....I have one for weight loss (or in the case of 2010, gain) and another spends, so another could come in handy. I also need to devise little prizes for myself as rewards for completing tasks/projects...not sure if I should be using food as a reward as I am trying to lose loads of weight! Perhaps, an afternoon of cross-stitching can be "won" if I complete 5 biggish tasks in a week.....I don't want to make it a competition, as I will be back to doing too much again!!
If anyone has other ideas of how to cope better with doing too much, then I am all ears (and eyes!).
Keiss, you could be talking about me, I so sympathise as I'm exactly the same. I start too many things and never finish them because they've fallen short of my expectations somehow:( and then get myself really stressed about it.
I think the suggestion of rewarding yourself with some "me time" for a job done is a great one - can't remember who suggested that now, sorry:o:o. It's certainly one I'll be trying to use, maybe we can encourage each other this year I think we both need to chill a bit.
Take care

Count me in, I did this years ago but have not done it for some time so would like to give it another go.
However I have spent today, I will do my best to have 4 NSD's in a row this week, it seems few compared to others on here...but I will build it up to more!!!
Good luck everyone : )
:j
Hi forsya
I've added you to the front page now, but did you want to set yourself a target for the month as well? I'll add your 4 in a row - good luck with that - just checking whether you want a total for the month as well.
Good luck and welcome back.

Made it through NSD no1. Does anyone else find that when your trying not do something it becomes am obsession and all you can think about, so sometimes end up doing the opposite?
Today I kept thinking about not going out and spending but soooo felt like going to co-op for snacks!
All the time, kdenty.
Well done for resisting today (or yesterday now, actually..) :j:j
