Hello
I would love to joinCould you put me down for 15 nsd's this month please? Today will be my first one, tomorrow will be a spend day, though, as it was DS1's birthday today so we are taking him out tomorrow to the cinema and then to a pizza place after
Hope everyone had a great new year and look forward to getting through 2011 with a lot less spending and lots of laughs (and maybe only a few boots up the bum!)

Can a lapsed NSD creep back into the fold? Have been away for a while.
Please can I be put down for 10 days for Jan.:oProud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
Oops, i forgot to come and find you all!! Can you put me down for a target of 16 please Spoon? I got my first one today
Keen to get down to some serious debtbusting for the start of 2011 so I'm going to set myself a target of 5 in a row as well to see if this helps. I'm going to get back into making little extra payments to my CC but they don't count as part of this challenge.
Happy new year everyone!! Back to work for me tomorrow, bring on the January blues!!Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -

Hi Everyone,
Can I join please? I've posted on other threads and got other challenges on the go but always been intrigued by this one. I actually secretly did it a couple of months last year (last year.. doesn't that sound odd), and it made a big difference to my budget. So I think its time to take it on seriously.
I'm not going to count anything in my essential budget such as weekly shop, bills, etc. This is just about the amount of cash I seem to get through in a month. I might have to learn the word NO to my teens, to succeed at this.
Could you put me down for 10 NSDs in January please. Thank you.
Edit: Can I count today as one please! Vegged out on the sofa and didn't spend a penny (as such!).0 -
Hi
Please put me down for 8. I know this is low but I am so used to spending EVERY day.
Trying hard (again) in 2011.
S
Debts: £12K. Not good. It will take around 4 years to sort out. But it's doable. You've got a friend here then
"Builder's Brew but hold the sugar" is the ONLY way to drink tea (though I actually use skimmed most of the time)
Maybe we should start the NSDer's tea party then? I'll start off... Why don't marxists drink earl gray?.... Cos, proper tea is theft
Ok ok, I'm going now, promiseLess to do doesn't match with starting a list and a spreadsheet Keiss.
Me time works for me too, be it getting up half an hour earlier (very rare!) to have a cuppa in total silence, doing some yoga (the meditation bit at the end is fab!) or sewing. It doesn't matter that your "me time" is productive as long as it absorbs your attention fully and you're not thinking about all the other stuff! (My sewing isn't productive but it is all-consuming)
Remember - don't sweat the small stuff. And view all the stuff as small stuff! Makes it so much easier!
Read Henry William Davies' poem "Leisure" and keep it in mind when you're doing too much! I've been trying to say no more often and do less (that's coming from a girl with two jobs and studying for a post grad! It's necessary!!!) But clearly I'm rubbish at it!
I have started to asked myself "what does this mean to me in the grand scheme of things? And stressing over work isn't what I want to be doing. Or making myself ill to get that pesky case study in on time. So what if I get a lower mark than I'd like? I still learned lots. So what if I can't get that report finished before home time; there's only so much time in my day.
But I do care if my nephew is too shy to play with me because he sees me so little. Or I can't find time to visit my friend and play with the kids. Or find time to catch up over a cuppa.
Because they are the things that me sane! Hence my resolution to spend more time with the people who make me laugh!
Oooh 'eck, I came over all philisophical and went on a bit of a rant! Oops!Only came on to declare NSD 1 officailly
Then Cheryl, Moneypenny, you'll be fine with my tea making as that's the way I drink it too.
I agree with you totally Nic, though I'd add the 15 minute rule to the list of armour.
You know when you have started something but just can't get motivated to start it... Well tell yourself you're going to do 15 minutes towards it then if you don't want to carry on you can put it away and do something else. 9 times out of 10 you will carry on and either finish the job or do a significant part of it.
Can confirm that today was nsd 1, been asleep for most of it, See you all tomorrow night night0 -

Well said Nicca!! I think we're all guilty of getting caught up in the things that aren't important sometimes - thanks for the reminder!:):):)
