Well done betterlife, a what a fantastic loss :T:T:T
I know what you mean about having to sneak a quick weigh-in to see if it's still going down, I did that today but still the same as yesterday. Never mind, it didn't go up :D. Tried on my 2 cozzies but they haven't grown with me so looks like I have to buy new ones. Such a shame ;), I'll only be wearing them for two weeks cos when I come back from me hols I'll be a bit lighter still. Kerala is renowned for it's fish restaurants and I lurvvvve fish, 'specially curried, so I'll be in my element :j

No forum tomorrow :( but it gives me the opportunity to shop for new swimmy things...good luck to us on weigh-in Sunday Legendmum :), have a good weekend everyone

    Hi everyone,

Can i join you all please? My diet has been starting 'tomorrow' for a few months now and then i decided Christmas was a lost cause and its been starting 'tomorrow' again ever since :o

So.....I'll start now :) Im going to need a few kicks to keep me from failing so i hope you've all got boots on :rotfl:

I need to lose about 6 stone but that number just scares me so im going to try to reach 3 stone first :)

hope you're all having a good day x

Welcome Emzy - I think we all come to a point were we say to ourselves 'enoughs enough I must take control of things'. You have made the decision to make a start and I am sure that you will get plenty of support from everyone here - whether it's a pat on the back, tips, menu ideas or just generally having a bit of a laugh. If you're ever having a bit of a downer - there'll be someone here to pick you up.

Ideally I would like to lose around another 5-6 stones (already lost 5) but I know what you mean about the target being too far away and at times can be disheartening

Well done on taking the first steps ;)

  • hi sparrer and everyone thanks for praises :p, im so pleased with myself :j, ive never been successful at dieting before, before kids i was a size 10 , but with 4 kids well you no how it is. anyway instead of buying all the usual diet food, snacks, dvd`s, books etc i decided to stop thinking about food so much, i mean with kids you are always thinking of what to do for the next meal, or grocery shopping lists, cooking from stratch etc. so i thought thats it `stop thinking of food` the family can cope with simple quick and easy food for a week or 2, and me im eating only when im really hungry, and then its just simply things like, porridge made with 1/2 water and milk and a tsp of honey (and yes it tastes like wallpaper paste but filling ) slimming cuppa soups (about 50kcal) salad (no dressing) cut chic breast, crab stixs, melba toast etc. i sniff cakes and crisps but dont touch and i occassionally suck the powder off a dry roasted peanut lol then spit it out :rotfl:. i no any doctor would moan of my lack of intake, but im not stupid ;) im getting what i need and have plenty of fat stores for the rest :p, this approach is really working for me so far (and yes it is a short term approach then i will diet sensibily) and its giving me the boost i need, and at least now i no i have some will power :T as i love foooood.

    Hiya everyone

Well done on all the loses this week, had a naughty sneak at the scales this morning and seem to have lost 1lb so fingers crossed its still off by Monday morning. Ive tried to do at least 20mins exercise each day which is amazing for me as I hate exercise.
    Monday - 1hr Just Dance
Tuesday - 30 mins dance on broadway, 2 15min workouts on EA ACTIVE
    Wednesday - 2 x 15min EA Workouts
    Thursday - 30 mins step
Friday - Walked to friends and back total 35mins

Feeling so much more confident than I have in years - I now weigh less than I did when I got married 10 years ago in October. I still have alot of weight to lose but its the 1st time Ive ever managed to lose more than a stone on a diet.
    Back on the moneysaving wagon:T:j:T

Thanks blue_eyed_girl and well done on the weightloss!
I'll weigh myself tomorrow morning and then I can work out what i need to lose and then could someone add me to the list please? :)

I know what you mean betterlife at needing to do an extreme bit at first, i might need that to get more motivated and then settle into a sensible diet, well done on the loss

Mrsow Wow you've done a lot of exercise! Well done!! I think i'll set a goal of doing 30 mins 3 times a week and see how that goes

Well done to everyone else too :)
