Ok...so all SL know theres various excuses people will use for making an appointment & then cancelling, or signing then not placing an order...I've had most in my time:
haven't the time....no orders....don't like it.....husband says I can't.....etc etc - all of which can obviously be genuine....and of course theres those that just blantently don't bother and think the books will deliver themselves.

Well I had a new one tonight which made me chuckle,

"didn't realise there was so much to it":rotfl:

She was only doing f&f....how is there a lot to that?!?! Give books to the people you know, and then ask for them back after a week or so....best excuse I've heard in a while lol. Lady is very intelligent, got a decent job etc so it didn't half make me chuckle. If she had territory I could understand it, but not f&f!

Even stranger are the ones, who've done it for a while and then stop even though commonsense tells you (and should tell them) that they NEED to do the exact opposite. Have a lady on my team, who decided to stop when she got a part-time job.... Her OH has just been made redundant but 'oh, no.... we can't afford Avon now'. Where IS the logic?

Haha I know. An old rep requested territory, then changed her mind "as she didn't have time with working full time"...then even though she never ordered above £100 didn't have the time to be a rep any longer - err how long can it take delivering £100 worth to your friends & family?! If they said, I wasn't earning enough, that would make sense. But not that they don't have the time! The "working full time so never have time" excuses doesn't wash with me - particularly when they don't have any kids...I don't have kids but I work full time, and spend 2 HOURS a day travelling, and still manage to do very well with sales, AND be a sales leader.

I've come to the conculsion - theres no logic as you say lol - if people don't want to, they won't, and will come up with any & all excuses for not doing it.

O good god! Got a new rep who has territory....and shes having territory problems...caused by the same sales leader who caused problems for another rep in the next town along last year! It can't all be her sodding territory else she must have half of stoke !!!!!!! complained to asm & dsm last time, didn't really get me anywhere.....wonder if I'll have more luck now its another rep in another town?!?! Well I'm going to try anyway - asms must hate me lol I make a right pain of myself - but if that territory was allocated to someone then it wouldn't have been allocated to this rep, its not how the system works, and it wouldn't play up this much in the same area with the same sodding person to blame!!!!

  • Was wafting my perfume clad wrists under hubbys nose last night to see which ones he liked out of Slip into, Reese Witherspoon Laugh, RW Live and Up To You. Has anyone bought any of them? Personally I liked the RW Laugh and Up To You off the page and plumped for Up To You. Am hoping it is the same in the flesh.
    Everyone loves a bargain
  • What's your current campaign? I'll see if I can make a few suggestions.

I'm currently on 4, which ends 18th feb so then i'll be on 5. I had been wondering about the MM offers on the perfumes in HT6 and maybe do what someone else said and offer them at £5 if spending x amout?
  • Just seen an Avon advert on twice in the past 2 breaks on sky3!!!

Up to You - I got this a couple of campaigns ago and think it pretty much has the same scent as the page did. Slip Into smelled different to me when I tried a sample compared to the page. I was spraying books with Up to You and when they came back to be re-prepped I could still smell it. I also sprayed it on my scarf and could smell it when I walked past as it was hanging up. Maybe scents last longer on paper/material than they do on skin?
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
