Angel Rachie - if you decide to become a Sales Leader and sign up your friends (have them in your team) you'll need to be placing an order of £148 or more before you can earn any money for being a sales leader. There are other targets you have to hit to earn your SL commission - but your personal order is something you can start working on now as a rep. Over your first few campaigns you'll get an idea of how much interest is out there, how many houses to cover etc... in order for you to reach £148. You'll also get to grips with everything else Avon-related so once you're signing people up as a SL you'll know from experience how it works.

Plus you could get your friends hooked on the products by being their rep for a while, so they'll want to sign up even more.

Very wise words I, Geek. Ever since becoming a TSL myself as soon as someone mentions any interest in becoming a rep my brain goes into overdrive and these little voices are in my head saying "sign them up" :rotfl:

  • Sorry if I sound like a sulky toddler here but..

How is that fair, if a customer buys online she can have the freebies with just buying a cleanser, which start at £7.50, yet if a customer buys from us they have to spend at least double that to get the freebies????

There's a free delivery code I got emailed to me - LOVE7 - although you have to spend £15 to qualify so that won't really help.

Even if I go on the website to get the free Anew gift I'll have to pay postage or spend X amount to get free postage. I'll ring her and explain, and show her the small-print in person when I do the delivery. If she's not happy to pay £9.50 for the cleanser on its own I'll offer it to her at the C5 price of £6.50. Then I'll order another one from C5 and return it as the C4 one. That way I won't have lost out on earnings. I'll have earned less than if I'd sold for £9.50, but that's better than losing the sale altogether.

Should be a relaxing delivery day next Monday. Husband is away so I've had to put back deliveries until Wednesday.

Thanks guys, I had a similar dilemma as a customer had ordered an eye cream which I had in stock (from one of the ANEW sets from clearance, think I paid £4ish) along with the freebie. I have just ordered 2x cleaners for £15 which include 2x freebie sets and used the free delivery code. Also went through quidco for 10% cashback so hopefully all will arrive without an issue. If it doesn't work out at least I can return it all free of charge so haven't lost anything. Am going to order a set with my normal order aswell though just in case it doesn't pan out, at least I will still have one to give my customer :D

  • :rotfl: I would understand if I lived out in the sticks somewhere but I live in the centre of Exeter :rotfl:

Oh yes, just remembered there are two ASM's, who cover Exeter. Maybe it's because you're 'Cosmopolitan!' ;) and extracted from the rest of the area..... Who knows?

thanks MC! will look in the HT book's for bits and pieces! :D bit of variety!

I never thought of vistaprint for the t-shirts! was looking at the one in HT book! but would prob look better if they matched business cards!

You're very welcome. I also got my magnetic car door signs from there too - my OH dies with shame whenever he goes in the car but I like them so they're staying! :D Did wonder if I should take them off when I went to an 'official' Avon function last year i.e. because they're not the official ones, but when I saw everyone else's I decided to keep mine as I prefer them.

Just wait until Vistaprint send you the various emails offering you certain items free. Personally, wouldn't bother with the pens though (I ordered one before Avon brought theirs out) - the wording on the Vista pens tend to peel off. Having said that though, they do work - had quite a few Avon pens that don't!

  • Lots of handy hints n tips i just picked up here! was possibly thinking of doing a Spend £15 and receive an entry to win a mystery prize, not sure how popular it might be, considering i didn't get any kind of response to my "Christmas raffle"

It could be the 'entry to win a prize' that's the problem. Why not just offer a 'free gift with £x spend'? Then, at least customers know they will definitely get something.... I even had one customer ring me up to ask me what the gift would be when I first did it. Told her it depended on the value of her order i.e. the bigger the order the better the gift.

You're soooo good! :T That's almost exactly what I did too but I forgot to go via Quidco!

Reverting to your comment about looking for reps to sign up, if you have any customers who place really good orders regularly, it may be worth you considering asking them if they'd like to be Personal Reps? Means you lose the commission on their orders, obviously, but they end up looking after themselves and it helps grow your team....

I have done just that with one of my customers as she works in a residential home and always gets orders from her work colleagues for me too (she used to live in my territory but moved to about a 15min drive away out in the sticks but I offered to keep dropping to her so she does this to make it worth my while). She sounded really keen at first but said she would let me know when she placed her next order. Fingers crossed. I have had a few people showing interest from adverts posted but they seem to fade away in one way or another. Just need to find some more amazingly motivated people like you lot on this thread to bulk my team up a bit.

I got a pen, was very disappointed by how cheap it looked - mind it was free so I shouldn't complain!!

true enough! maybe i'll do it from £20 as most of my customers have been sticking around the £10 mark, but i do get some customers that spent over £15 or near the £20 mark.
