:hello: by the way

Also what do you think would be a good enough amount to put on 'Spend X amount and recieve a free gift' incentive? When I was a rep a coupla a years ago I mainly had people spending £10-£20 each but want to push the sales up a bit.
Was thinking of buying a discounted larger item in the HT book such as bubble bath or something as it seem like they are getting more than say a little lip gloss? What are your ideas on this ppl?No More Buying Books: read 0/25; Bought: 0

Depends what campaign you're on, of course; I did a £10+ spend in my January campaign i.e. knowing full well that for delivery in the 3rd week of January orders were probably going to be minimal. Am now in C5 for delivery end Feb so am thinking of doing a "Order £15+ and order the Solutions Vibes @ £5" (having done a MoneyMaker on it).Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

It's hard to say what kind of gift is better, as a lot depends one what your customers like. But what I've found is the bigger the better the gift, so yes a bubble bath or 500ml shower gel looks good. Even in the main brochure if you get a 25% discount they aren't that expensive.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

and as a bonus to what Lozza said, anything you buy in the brochure counts towards your sales value
For your forms, I would bribe a child! If you know any teenage girls, they like writing and you can bribe them with some free make up!! If they like it, they will be bcak as a customer... win win :rotfl:Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -
Evening all, have just gone and agreed to going prospecting with my SL on Friday in the centre of town and am now bricking myself :eek::eek:
If anyone has any tips, or ideas etc as to how to approach people and how to start off without scaring people away, they would be greatfully received :idea:Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0 -

Don't worry, just let your SL take the lead and show you how it's done. Once you get your first lead it gets easier. Having said that, have been 'swooping' a few times now and not managed to get one single sign up from it - hope you have better luck!
One tip (although your SL will probably know anyway), don't 'set up stall' under cover of any of the pedestrian walkways to shopping centres - chances are you'll get 'moved on' by security....Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

don't stand in shop doorways or near to them, this is illegal too.
Smile, smile, smile and keep smiling. Even when people brush you off, with a not interested, you are bothering me, etc, keep you cool and keep smiling.
People who may be interested will warm to you if you are smiling.0 -
I've now decided its gonna be a £15 spend, as although i want to push up sales, someone going from an average of £10 spend its asking a bit much for £20 sales just for a freebie that they may then think isnt worth paying the extra £10 for! I'm going to scower my brochures again to see what i can offer as freebies!0

Someone posted earlier (sorry, can't remember who) that they let their customers choose which free gift they want i.e. from the 99p in their brochure (or even better from 99p goods available on back-order i.e. so they think you're paying a lot more)
