I've decided to sign up with Avon so that I can choose my hours (I know I have deadlines to meet though
) but I was wondering whether I am better signing up through the website or asking someone to put me in touch with their SL? I want the process to go as quick as possible so that if I get accepted (can't see why I shouldn't unless my address has been blacklisted!) I can get off JSA as soon as possible
Any idea which would be better?:o
A lot depends on who you join with - some asms are rubbish (the one I joined with was useless) but my new asm is amazing and I'm very lucky to have her. Some SL are rubbish, some are great (like me lol:p)- but yes in the main, SL are in theory better, as we don't have targets like asms do. They need to get x amount of new reps per campaign, so you don't usually get as much long term support from them, whereas its in a SL interest to keep you happy & on board for as long as possible. I'd suggest checking in your local papers, googling your area & avon and see if anyone crops up. Then get in touch and ask them some questions, talk to them on the phone - see how you like them and what answers they give you. If you like the sound of them then join with them!
Doesn't matter if your address has been blacklisted, so long as it isn't you - when avon receive your contract, they'll see there is debt registered to your address, then check who was against. Obviously it won't be you, so you'll be accepted. It just helps avon to "flag" addresses where they need to be extra careful and do a more thorough check than they usually do.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

I'll give them a call monday (providing Im not in labour- my naughty baby is 9 days overdue!! heehee)
Thanks again for your help x
As I said that is for the tax year for April 2009 to April 2010If you registered after that you shouldn't need to put it in till after April (the deadline will then be 31st of Jan 2012 for this tax year
before you get fined that is)

Was told both days 'no news'. Rep was loaded this morning and offered territory so I rang them with the good news and told them to get as many orders in as quickly as they could (quick campaign and all that) only to receive an email sent @ 11.30 a.m. this morning saying the application has been rejected as the applicant doesn't 'fit Avon criteria'.
How come Contracts are allowed to give us the green flag and then Credit Control take it away 3 hrs later????:mad::mad:
This is the second time I'm going to look really stupid for saying one thing and then Avon - ultimately - doing another!!!
I had a similar problem with my very first signup 2 weeks ago. Signed her up and she said she had been a rep many years ago, sent her form off and noticed her account online a few days later So told the rep all was ok and announced her as a team member on my Facebook. Got a text the following day from Avon saying she was rejectedPhoned ASM who said she had an outstanding balance with Avon. Rep now ignoring me and not returning emails or calls :S Not a good start to SLship! Got two fab ladies signed up since though
Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0
