You can get nozzle cleaning kits which might be worth trying... I had an Epson and used non-original cartridges and it got the same problem... used those when I changed the cartridges and when I upgraded I passed mine on and apparently it's still going strong!
Went for another Epson too!
Although this one hasn't got non-original cartridges yet as no-one does them grrrr (£30+ for a set of 4 - £10 for a single black one )

I LOVE being an Avon lady:j:j:j:j:j:j
Yep thats it!! my contribution to this thread:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Nah tried the nozzle cleaning kit and it's still having a fit even after 3 cleans. Stupid thing won't even let you scan things in unless all the cartridges are in and it recognises them. I reckon it thinks that way well have to get it working lol, but think it'll be sold as spare parts as at the moment it's just a big paper weight/Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

is there no kind of appeal MC?
ie pay of Daughter's outstanding bill to Avon. Then they can let this lady be a rep?
Emailed SL team back to ask that and just got the pat reply:
"Unfortunately, xxxxxx xxxxxxx has not met Avon's credit criteria. If she wishes to discuss this further she can contact our Finance Department on 0333 2343333"
So in a nutshell, I can go out there, spend my time explaining all about Avon, give her books (& bags) I've paid for, samples I've paid for, a signing up pack I've paid for, but when it comes to 'arguing the case' am not even allowed to be involved in the process.... (And I don't even get an explanation let alone an apology from Avon for the extra hassle/problems I'm faced with by now explaining to a newbie why they've been rejected when I told her she'd been approved because I saw her loaded onto my team's website with allocated territory.....)

MC that sucks!!!
There should only be one approval stage as far as I am concerned... *sigh*
Maybe one day when I am not so exhausted at the thought of my "day job" I will write them a proposal about what to fix and the potential increase in business and revenue as a result :rotfl:
Thanks and am in total agreement. Blind leading the blind comes to mind (particularly bearing in mind that this is the same team, who asked for my help last week re. fraudulent activies of some of their Managers!) It reeeeallly makes you wonder sometimes why you bother!Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Wouldn't mind so much if Avon had some sort of credit/replacement policy for at least the sign-up pack and ideally the books too. (The rest of the goodies we hand across is up to us.) Don't mind putting my time in to help anyone but for it to cost us money to sign people up and then Avon reject them is 'a little demoralising'.... Realise it's their credit account at the end of the day but sometimes I just wonder at the fairness of the system.
All in all not been a good day - went out of my way to help someone today only to then need their help a few hours later but it wasn't reciprocated.Did I spot a new moon last night? If so, hope that's not a sign the rest of the month is going to follow in the same vein.

Yep I agree with you. You go along with books, to save having to do 2 journeys. You do the spiel, get them to complete the application form, post it off, meanwhile the potential rep is out distributing books, etc, you wait a couple of days, think they have been accepted and bang! The answer is NO!
They should have a better system. ie you can phone up there and then if it is during office hours and get an answer there and then. Saves the whole wasted time, losing a pack and books.0 -

I'm about to start training as an SL so read these posts with interest.
It's swings and roundabouts as far as do you give them the pack and books, save yourself a double journey or give them the pack and books and possibly lose money. Either way you could lose some money.
I agree that an SL should be able to get an answer from Avon there and then. Would save a lot of time for both SL and new rep.
Thanks for the forewarning0 -
At last finally heard bk from someone been trying to contact all week, just to deliver their order! was starting to think id have to return it! cos I don't have the money to pay for it myself, as order itself didn't earn me any commission.0
