Agree with you about thanking Lozza but, sorry, don't agree with your initial comment. Why should Avon reps NEED to log into AC to actually be sent a lead through? Surely the fact that they have signed up as a rep entitles them to full support from Avon direct to their website i.e. whether or not they choose to log into a forum, which a lot of people don't rate...... Sorry, but my personal opinion. :(

I can see that viewpoint. The other one could be that Avon has presumably devoted a lot of time, effort and money into developing AC, therefore, is it that much to ask that people log into it once in a while to get the benefits from it ? If Reps don't use it, it'll eventually disappear and then nobody will get those customers, well, Avon won't.

You could argue that logging into facebook isn't required to link up with any facebook friends, but that hardly makes sense does it ? You can't expect one without the other.

Presumably if connects ever went, it would go back to the old system where people requested a brochure and then a local rep got emailed with their details.
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

Thanks, am not a fan of FB either TBH. :(

No, it's not asking too much IF they had ironed out the problems e.g. time-out, etc. AND Avon had been upfront to notify us direct of any necessity to log in to get leads. 'Hiding' that information somewhere in the small print hardly encourages reps to be supportive.

Could be me but I still haven't figured out which bits are viewable by everyone and which are just for reps. Every time I do decide to have a bit of a butchers, it seems full of reps needing help because they're not getting it from their upliners so makes me wonder if this is Avon's way to help re. that problem, in which case - as a stopgap - that's laudable but wouldn't it be better to vet/monitor SLs more thoroughly to ensure they're actually supporting their team?

Or be sent a letter in the post (never had such an email but have had a few 'please drop a book to ..... and get a free ANew Night Cream')

Sure the subject of MA and other benefits is a minefield; sounds like you know quite a bit about it..... Just a thought, is there anything you could let lozza know that she can post up on the first page of our threads i.e. to help our subscribers?

Well, the bare essentials we can post. When on SMP / MA you are (at present) permitted 10 KIT (Keep In Touch) days that you can work. I know more about SMP then MA.
Other parts are dependent upon the individual. I think we should definitely explain that it is a good route back into employment, particularly if you have children as it can get you working tax credits etc which is far better than being unemployed.

Also for front page, maybe we should point out that as well as your official earnings, you can cut your outgoings down for your family by purchasing toiletries on offer. ie shower gel on offer @ £1 then if you hit HOV, 25% off that again.
Shampoo etc is often at that price as well.
Not quite sure how to phrase it, but you get my drift!!
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

Free Gifts for customers: I've often seen it suggested, particularly on connects, to purchase clearance items as your gifts. I have avoided this from the start for anything that is meant to be discontinued, because if your customer likes it, they cannot then purchase the item in future. I've been selecting current products on offer instead. Sometimes it is not an instant reward, but since splitting the planet spa facial packs out into free gifts, my planet spa sales have trebled. Hoping that this may be a useful reference when people are deciding what to purchase. I have also used SSS range when they have been on really cheap offers, and it has resulted in a future sale every single time.

By the planet spa facial packs do you mean the one they did at Xmas with the mini sachets in?

I'd 2nd that. My SL told me just to 'buy anything under £1 from the clearance pages' for a free gift. With my 1st catalogue I did an offer for spending over £25, duly ordered my handcream from clearance....... all OOS, so was sent nothing & didn't have any stocks to use.

Have been ordering from HT since with no problems & like mentioned above will also potentially improve sales :)
    Now proud Mumto3 :j

SLs are self-employed, just like 'normal' reps. The ones that do well from it are the ones that put most into it, presumably. I'm not sure how Avon are supposed to see in advance whether that will happen or not. If the upliner doesn't do her job as a Rep then she'll eventually lose her team that way, but beyond that you can't (and shouldn't in my view) do anything really. If AC helps the problem - and gives customers visibility of better Reps / SLs, then I'm all for it.

Hi, hope everything is going well. Had a terrible C13, but by the sounds of it I wasn't the only one. C14 is looking much more promising.

I phoned Avon on the 10th as soon as I noticed a couple of things were missing from my order. They put it through as an order correction and for a while it has been showing as 'Prepared.' Does this mean that it could have been sent out and on its way? Avon said it would be here in 5-7 working days and I told this to the customer, so I really hope it shows up tomorrow!
