Hmm, just googled (I know I'm listed on google!) - if you put town name then avon, it doesn't bring up much useful (in my case it brings up a local street with avon in it's name!) - but if you put avon then town name, it brings up google listing for businesses (reps & sales leaders that have registered with google) along with other links, like local facebook groups/pages/people etc. Odd how the order makes such a huge difference!

I'd 2nd that. My SL told me just to 'buy anything under £1 from the clearance pages' for a free gift. With my 1st catalogue I did an offer for spending over £25, duly ordered my handcream from clearance....... all OOS, so was sent nothing & didn't have any stocks to use.

Have been ordering from HT since with no problems & like mentioned above will also potentially improve sales :)

I do a bit of both - when I give discontinued products, it's things that I got really cheap from clearance (shower gels for 50p) - I keep them in stock in case I need an apology gift (if half their order hasn't been delivered etc!), but I try to make sure that they are either items my customers love (I got a load of the senses shower creams for 50p which were a fav of my customers) or something that has an obvious current replacement (items that have been repackaged, but are essentially the same thing).

    Hi ladies,
Anyone had any complaints about the Avon Care Rich Moisture Nourishing Face Cream, they come in the 200ml tubs, see pg 96 of C13. A customer of mine brought one ages ago when it was on offer and in the new packaging but tells me that its really watery and that Avon have changed the formula I guess.

I can't send it back as its well over 90 days but wondered if anyone else had received similar feedback.

May well email Avon anyway and see what they say.

    Any advice? (Thanks)
  • Hi, looking for some help, I've emailed the C15 catalogue and clearance book to my mum and she's asked me to get her several items from the clearance book, p34-35, = 6 face creams and 2 hand creams. She also has ordered two of the 99p face, hand and body creamm (36079) at 99p each, but these are only 99p with another purchase, are you allowed more than one at that price of you are ordering more than one item, or will it be £2.50 for the second one

Just noticed the summer face cream, 99p for SPF15, thats brilliant, shame I won't get it before my holiday!

    Thanks
Wins 2012: £50 Love2Shop voucher, Lets Dance tickets, Juan Zelades CD, bluetooth speaker, Blackberry 9360 with £30 credit a month, Chocolate, Maybelline Goodie Bag, Hunter wellies!

I'd email them, I bought some as some kind of offer (think it was a 5 for £5 pack), and stashed them for freebies, but I opened one a few days ago and I'd say it was more of a lotion then a cream, mine were still in the 90 days so I've just done credits for mine in the usual way but if I were you I'd email them. Not a good product unless it was maybe a duff batch?

Hi, a customer of mine says she has used the rich moisture face cream for about 20 years. A month or so ago she asked where it was in the brochure and I showed her the packaging had changed but that it was the same. I'm glad I waited on the doorstep while she opened and checked it because it is totally different! I sent them back for her but she's really disappointed as she's used it for so long. :(

Yes, you can get one with qualifying purchase. Avon don't know if they are for the same customer or different. So you can get one for yourself for 99p if a customer has made a qualifying spend and not ordered one :D

    hi guys
i know a lot of people probably ask this, but what are your tips for making a lot of money with Avon? I don't seem to make more then 20-40 a pop every three weeks and could do with money at the moment!

    thanks for your help

Check out the first post, first page, click onto the hints & tips links, theres lots of ideas on there :)

I always tell my team, that the main way you'll gain, and keep, your customers (and get them to refer you to their friends/family/neighbours) is by giving a good, reliable service - collect the book when you say you will (package it neatly too), deliver the order when you say you will (again package it neatly, include a sample if you have some - I stick a business card onto my samples so that they can pass it to their friends, as it mentions my referral offer where they get a free gift for referring someone, and their friend gets 10% off), and generally just be polite, and professional. Some of my customers have said they are very impressed with how professional we are about it - we don't spend a fortune doing it this way, but it pays off :)
