When i registered for self employment, the form for the NI he asked if i was likely to be earning over 5k i said probably wouldnt even make £500 so he sent me an exemption form to fill in, BUT the contributions that would be asked of you are VOLUNTARY if you do earn less then what was required, BUT if you dont pay them then your wife could loose out on a full state pension if not in receipt of any other benefits that has the protection(eg Child Benefit) (or if she was to become pregnant wouldnt be entitled to any Maternity Allowance)She does not work so that's probably why the said she could just write in a letter we told them how much she earns
As for the NI yes i know about the threshold but it goes back 4 years, when she first stated the avon manager said not to worry as she does not earn enough, she is worried if she has to back pay 4 years as the form says you can only go back 13 weeks for exemption0 -

Stats for my latest round of new territory
:
58 books dropped
3 customers - gah! that's a hit-rate of 1 in 20
8 reading, but haven't ordered yet - a couple have requested not to have every book
11 not reading, but left them out for me
18 with reminder notes asking to ring/e-mail if they have an order - I didn't get books back from these and don't expect any orders to come through, really. I've just started doing that second reminder note so I don't have to return again.
15 definite nos.
So, if everyone who's reading also orders that takes me up to 11 customers out of 58, so around 1 in 5, which is still lower than I expected compared to my last lot of territory. I'll have to turn nearly all non-readers into customers to get up to 1 in 3.
I'm less concerned about meeting Avon's expectations for the streets, more like meeting my own because I'd got 1 in 3 before and the streets are a similar demographic. They're right next to the ones I already do.
Foundation offer - it depends how I look at it whether it's been successful or not. Of the people who ordered it was popular. A few have stocked up or ordered several ones to try out. I don't think I've sold so many of a single type of item before from one book. On the other hand, it didn't win over new territory houses and most existing customers didn't go for it. I think it was too much to ask new customers to buy foundation of all things on the first go - even though I explain the returns policy, gave £1 off a £5 spend, and £4 for a foundation is a good deal.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Just a note for any newbies (and not-so-newbies who have lost faith a bit), when I put my order in on Friday the Antler bag was red crossed but I left it on anyway. Have had my online invoice this morning and its coming with my delivery on Thursday!
OK OK I know it doesn't happen to everybody but I just though it was worth saying. They must have had one returned (blimey wish I hadn't said that now, hope it turns up and its OK!).
Oh, and the jewellery box which I've been waiting for for 3 campaigns is finally turning up as well! I think my customer was starting to think it was a figment of her imagination ...0 -

Hi everyone!
Just got my C2 delivery (late), been going through it getting everyones stuffed bagged up to be delivered today (so now im late and its my girls birthday tomorrow and mums today so not like i dont have other things to be doing!!) and realised a some of my stuff was missing! checked through my invoice to make sure it hadnt gone OOS but its basically saying i never ordered them, so ive phoned my SL, i know i have no way to really prove that i ordered them but i know that i did because i tick everything ive ordered on the customer order forms aswell so that when im going through them i know whats been ordered! so now im waiting for my SL to phone me back and im not very happy!! im getting so behind now thanks to them being late!
- just editing because i remembered, the champaign flutes i was asking about ages ago came with my order today too! so one good thing !0 -
