My thinking with the "please don't throw away" notes is that they're impossible to miss. I'll understand if people have forgotten to put them out so I have to knock. If they've still been thrown out...I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.
I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Well the rules do actually say that no asking or offering on here is allowed (whoops) - you are not even allowed to offer anything for free - it's all about keeping users safe, not stopping us buying and selling. This is a HUGE forum and there are a lot of strange people out there pretending to be something they are not... MSE have taken the stance that to keep everyone as safe as they can it's not allowed to exchange goods etc on here or post your personal details...
From a legal and moral stand point I totally agree... but sometimes it can be a little annoying LOLDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I've been a member since about feb 2010 and have got about £70 from them so far. The other one I go on regularly is onepoll but it takes alot longer to reach the £40 pay out and not sure if I'll carry on with those once I've reached it! I'm a member of lots more but these are the ones that seem to work best for me!
Think I need to look at that again - I did join up to do a few (can't remember who now) but was just bombarded with emails and phone calls so assumed they were just a carrot to pass your details onto retailers, yes/no?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I can back order anything except clearance from Hello Tomorrow?
Yes, exactly right. My upliner didn't mention that to me - took me ages to figure out why I kept getting 'x clearance items oos' i.e. them not being itemised. Doh!!Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

i didnt realise you could buy/sell from the reps on here this seems a good deal if you dont want them id love to buy them
Strictly speaking, don't think we're supposed to but so long as it's worded correctly i.e. in the spirit of needing help to find something rather than just posting up a shopping list of items for sale, then it seems that MSE do let us continue to do it.
It's been really useful in the past i.e. when certain stocks are low/oos and someone's customer is needing/wanting something urgently.:T
Oops, see MrsT has set us all on the straight and narrow.... Thanks MrsT!Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Thanks, thought the 'flagging' tip was good but can't seem to get it looking the same as hers. Does anyone do that (and if so, any tips pls)?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

As Gail showed me... lol
Pick the page you want. Remember you have to have the wording you want on the top of the LEFT page when you are looking at it! :)Now take the bottom left page corner and fold to the middle so you have a perfect triangle missing. Now fold it towards the middle in half again... you should see the wording at the top sticking over the page. If you use the old/current Avon bags btw this will make it too tall to fit in... I heard talk that the new batches they have ordered are longer to allow the order forms etc in which will also mean that you can do this with the pages and they won't look squished
Let me know if that doesn't make sense and I'll do pictures later tonight and post them upDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Thanks, MrsT; I was trying it out using the right-hand page! Dohh!!!
Do you actually 'flag' your books that way? Am, obviously, a bit of a nerd because am not sure I like to see the pages creased.... Wonder if placing a post-it tab and/or a bookmark might work (or am I being stupid)?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Yes I used to 'flag' the pages, highlighting sections my customers didn't usually buy from. I dont anymore with reusing books to give reps, though I usually remember to tell my new reps about it as it's a free way of increasing sales. A lot of people will just quickly flick through for the section they buy from usually - ie makeup. This way you get them to try the fragrances page as they'll unfold the book to see why it was folded lol. If you have the time it's worth it.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
