would you mind me asking what surveys you do? im thinking of doing some but not sure which ones are better to do!

as for the avon connects for new customers ive given up as well. may go back and have another look later on and got more time to go on that site!! x

Sure, I do a few but the one that sticks out for me as being the best is opinion world, you get rewarded in points and as soon as you reach 1000 points you can claim via paypal or vouchers for £10. I've been a member since about feb 2010 and have got about £70 from them so far. The other one I go on regularly is onepoll but it takes alot longer to reach the £40 pay out and not sure if I'll carry on with those once I've reached it! I'm a member of lots more but these are the ones that seem to work best for me!

I put 6 to a page onto expired books for canvassing my territory - its adapted from what MC helpfully posted a while ago:

Calling all old/new Avon customers!
Avon has celebrated its 50th year in the UK.
Here’s a slightly out of date brochure to give you an idea of Avon products/prices......
If you’d like to see a current catalogue
(with no obligation whatsoever)
please contact me.
All Avon products come with a full money back guarantee and are delivered to your door for the price in the brochure – no delivery charges ever!
(If this is of no interest, please accept my apologies for bothering you and kindly recycle/dispose of the book.)

Name / telephone number / email address
Thanks for looking!

Thanks Lozza and MC for this! Think it will come in handy for some new territory I have been given until I can afford to give them current books! haha!

I wuld appreciate any of you SL's out there giving advice on how you recruit - can't get my head around Connects so no use trying on there!

(

a lovely SL who no longer posts on here, gave me the following advice. I still see her on FB and her team seems to be doing well. If you are reading, thank you sophisoph x

Thats alright hun, Im not claiming to be a sales leader guru lol but as ive discovered things ive written them down and kept expanding from that. i think i said before to try charity shops. Most would like a small donation but i put mine in there on saturday evening and got a text the following morning! As things are hard at the mo ive kept it to trying to find people in my area (Milton Keynes) as thats enough travelling for me lol

I found that the best thing i can do is advertise myself, through flyers (those pink ones from avon with the 'why not you' written on them. your upline should give you a stack of them if you ask) Ive put my details and -most importantly- my sales leader website address. In jan i had 8 visits and i only started mid-jan, but feb ive had 31 and since the beginning of march ive had 6. SO GET YOUR SITE OUT THERE. Its boring writing it over and over but that should make you more determined to get them out there once you have done them.

These people may not have contacted me or applied...but they HAVE looked so that tells me theres SOMETHING there. There is interest. Its just a case of waiting for them to click the apply button.

so...where have i left them?..
*I did a leaflet drop, through doors in my area- then gone back a week or so later to knock and ask.
*Included 2 flyers in each order and asked them to pass them on to someone who MIGHT be interested.
*Given them to family and friends to leave at work
*Ive emailed + text EVEYONE i know (but i get free texts) telling them the website address and again asking them to pass on the email to anyone in my area.
*Changed info on facebook + started a group
*Changed my email signature so any email i send always has avon details on the end
*Twitter
*Flissys
*Ive asked all the reps i have signed if they know anyone...then follow it up a week or so later/when you next see them
*Ive asked all my customers to pass my info on to someone they may know

*Go through your address/phone book and think about where everyone works/goes/knows. ask them to take some flyers for you.

*Maybe next time youre en route to the shops get off the bus half way home and go door knocking. At least you know that you will pass them next time you go to the shop so it wont be out of the way

*Think about any friends you know who have had babies or whos daughters have had babies...whatever...maybe even stop by a local babyclub...they are most likely headbutting the walls through boredom. Play on the fact that its excercise, extra money for treats and a chance to meet other people.

*Think about any groups you/hubby/son goes to so you/they can drop leaflets there
-gym
-swimming
-pub
-doctors
-local shops
-baby club
-school
-library
-CHURCH!
-Taxi company
-Gumtree (website)

*Always carry a handful of flyers with you and whoever you meet or see that day ask if they can hand them out for you. At least that saves you traveling to drop them etc. But while theyre left in that drawer under the stairs they arent getting you anywhere.

*Talk to everyone, tell them what you do 'in conversation' half the time they will say 'hmm i could do something like that' or 'my sister is between jobs'...get their details! If not then at least ask if they know anyone else...

*If there is a local newsletter contact them and ask them to mention you, ask to be mentioned in the local church newsletter. Im not a church-goer but i remember the newsletters from when i was little and think its a pretty good way to get your name out.

*Maybe ask at school if they can ask the kids to take them to their parents

*Ive poached a few facebook friends that i know have little ones. Ive started up a conversation and then dropped in 'oh i do avon to pass the time/earn some cash have you ever thought about that?' I have two ladies 'pending' shall we say lol.

Thats about all i can think of at the mo. I know you probably tried all of these anyway but ive found that the cheapest and simplest ideas work the best.

I havent left mine in some places YET simply because i havent been near there recently so im not going to go out of my way until ive used all the close resources and freebies i can get or i find someone whos 'going that way' to drop them for me lol.

Well thats it...hope SOMETHING on there gives you some inspiration x

• Hmm.... See where you're coming from. We all get cheesed off with Avon from time to time and looks like you are really being put through the myre.

Wonder if it may help you to 'do a survey' of all the territory you've been allocated i.e. it will save you lugging books around, you just take a clipboard (I have an official Avon form, which could be useful to you - PM me if you'd like a copy). That way you can establish, who wants a book from you, who already has a F&F rep and who's really not interested. Once you've established who wants a book from you, just look after them. It should bring your effort down to a manageable level and then you can let your customer base grow naturally i.e. by referrals (offer a free gift for introducing a new client).

Can't stress enough how important it is to look after your core customers and don't get distracted with what other reps tell you. If you do have problems with other reps, just report back to your upliner and they should help resolve things.

Hope that helps.

That would be great thanks x
