Just received my order and have been supplied with 2 pairs of the fit flip flop things instead of the slippers that i ordered and was invoiced for. The delivery driver also put boxes at back door rather than the agreed place so missed the returns that needed to go back. At least the slippers were only for me rather than a customerMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Oh just had a flick through HT 16 and there are so many things I like the look of. Must resist otherwise I'll be spending more than I'm making in sales!
Me too! Love the look of the new free Beauty Bonus Bag (but am a sucker for anything black & white LOL). Here's hoping for great sales leading up to Christmas! :jMake the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

No need to apologise; Avon is a 'moveable feast' depending on what you want to get out of it i.e. from free/discounted products to supplement your own household budget to earnings from your own product sales and right up to making a career out of it by building your own team and moving up through the ranks.
Some Avon reps earn almost nothing in cash but enjoy having access to all the products at discounted rates but at the other end of the scale we have some very high achievers:
1. Debbie Davis & David Carter - £1.25m I believe their earnings were last year
2. Gail & Brian Reynolds whose Avon business was valued at £5.5 million earlier this year.
Don't be fooled, it's not easy - it's taken the high earners 10/11 years to get to where they are but just shows it IS possible.
Basically it comes down to what you want out of Avon and how hard you are prepared to work for it. You're self-employed and operate your own Avon business within Avon's T&Cs but how it fits in with your own lifestyle so that can mean showing brochures to your Friends and Family, dropping books off to your designated territory, doing parties/car boot sales/fetes/fundraisers/E-Bay etc. etc. etc.
Hope that helps rather than confuses. :rotfl:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Oh dear, maybe a note on your back door next time could be a good idea? Usually the delivery drivers are excellent and will appreciate your feedback as to where the best place is to deliver your order.
Did you get the white or black flip flops instead of the slippers?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

they are the black flip flops. Certainly worth more than the slippers so might keep and just reorder the slippers that me and mum wanted.
The delivery driver has up to now always put it in playhouse for me as arranged but not sure what happened this time. never mind i think it should have time to get there with my next deliveryMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

how far in advance do the christmas books come out? this is my first christmas as an Avon rep so i dont really know the ropes yet. i have some of my customers on back order books, but how does this work at christmas? also what about the clearance books - if i put them out with the back order books am i likely to get lots of oos stuff? i cant put them out early because i only get enough to go with the current book, so do i just not use them on back order? seems a bit unfair they dont get the real bargains!
thanks0 -

According to HT16, Christmas flyers are being issued to go out with our C16 books. Depends what Mail Plan you are as to when your C16 is (whoever signed you up should've mentioned that - if not, they can tell you or we can find it out for you i.e. if you let us know your postcode) or, of course, you can work it out for yourself by working 3 weeks forward per campaign from your current order/delivery dates. As for OOS clearance items, again your Mail Plan plays a big part. Sometimes reps in the later Mail Plans don't even bother putting the clearance books out with the current campaign!
Totally up to you how you organise your customer base; good idea to put your best orderers on your current book so as you say they get first bite of the bargains and the rest on your back book.
Some reps move everyone up to their current campaign in the run up to Christmas and then only service their best customers in the quicky campaigns in the New Year, 'starving' the non-orderers (hoping it will encourage them to order if they don't get a book for a while) and naturally then just putting them on the back book again some time during January.
Hope that helps.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

thanks for such a quick reply! i dont know my mail plan, i live in wa10 and will be putting my c13 order in on thursday this week.
i think i need to rejig my customers - i have gradually added small roads to my initial f&f but some of my better customers have ended up on my back order book and most of the first group (not f&f) have requested no more books. hmmm need to have a think about that!
while i'm on here i have another question! i think i was signed up by an asm, though i'm not entirely sure, but recently noticed when i signed into avon connects that in the 3 and a half months since i signed up i have been removed from the group owned by my asm and added to another persons rep group, then removed from that and returned to my asms group and then removed again from that group and added to a third persons reps group, i dont know either of the other people whose groups i've been put into and other than the notifications on the connects site i've had no contact from either the person who signed me up or the other two group owners, anyone got any idea whats been happening?!
thanks0
