:mad::mad::mad: Just checked my invoice online, and there's £100 in recharges for products I returned to Avon 3 weeks ago. I am sure they do it on purpose, just to be awkward sometimes!Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0

Hi missminx, thankyou for your reply, I received 18 orders from the people that weren't on my allocation and also at least 30 people who I called at said they didn't want to order this time but wanted to have a look through the next book as they hadn't seen one for ages! I have lived on this estate nearly all my life and I know that it is not AT ALL well covered by Avon, but the problem seems to be that people start with Avon then give up their territory very quickly and stick to just friends and family, but don't bother to inform their sales leader or ASM. I just wish I hadn't even bothered to mention it to my ASM in the first place; to be honest from conversations I've had with her before it's clear that she is really only concerned with her own commission; I have asked her repeatedly to e-mail me the houses I have been allocated rather than just telling me over the phone so that I at least have some evidence of what she's told me, but she just hasn't bothered. I am really annoyed about this whole thing; my previous ASM was fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful.
I'm going to feel absolutely stupid giving my orders to the customers and then telling them that they can't have any more books from me (and probably won't see one for years!)

Loulou - judging by how many orders and interested people you got, it's clear the streets were cherry-picked ages ago. Is the ASM asking you to pass on these house numbers to the other rep - i.e. you've done their re-canvassing for them  - or is she saying the customers shouldn't be served again at all? The second option is ridiculous - lost custom, probably angry and confused custom who haven't had a good experience with Avon (apart from the service for 1 campaign you've been able to give them). The first option is completely unfair on you and rewards a rep who clearly hasn't bothered for a long time. Does your ASM know how many interested people you found? If they know it's more than just a couple who slipped through the net, they might consider moving the streets over to you.
If the ASM can't be reasoned with, I'd carry on with those people who have asked you to carry on, who you know don't see a book from the other rep. Explain to them that they'll only see you for Avon-related things so if the other rep has had a kick up the bum and decides to re-canvas your customers will hopefully not get confused and tell them they already have you as their rep.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Hi I, Geek, thankyou for your reply.
She's saying not to serve the customers again, even though I've told her that they've told me they haven't seen a rep for years! I have had a massive amount of interest from the houses I have visited. I have also told my ASM that the people on my 'friends and family' list (many of whom live on my estate) have said that their streets do not have a visible rep either, but she insists that they are being covered? It just seems to me a bizarre way to conduct business; surely if the business is out there someone should be making use of it?
To be honest the woman is clearly disinterested but I have no other option than to have her as my ASM. I really thought that as a self-employed, independent Avon Representative I would be encouraged to build my business as it benefits everyone - customers, myself and my upliner - but it seems that I'm being stopped from doing so.

Does happen quite a lot unfortunately. Just ring Avon and quote the bar code no. on the label you used to return the products and they should credit the amount back to your a/c.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

You should have written confirmation of your allocated territory with addresses. If not, email your upliner/ASM (and copy in your DSM if you deem it necessary) and request it. That will include other information such as how many customers Avon reckon there should be on your territory and what your target sales are i.e. only if you exceed your target will any request for additional territory be considered.
As for giving orders out and telling them they can't have any more books from you - don't you dare! You are well within your rights now to keep these customers as part of your F&F customer base. If anyone tells you otherwise, just be professional and confirm that they are all known to you and have requested you to drop a book. End of!
Quite often new streets are not actually mapped on Avon's website so that aggravates territory issues. If so, the 'survey route' is a good idea. PM/email me if you'd like further clarification.

Thankyou for the reply Marsden Cuckoo; i've PMed you for more information about the 'survey route' x
This just gets better; I'm trying to place the orders I have, but when I go to 'View Subtotal' it comes up that my order is not large enough to receive discount (it is well over £300)! There is a long list of the products I've ordered but they all have a '0' quantity next to them instead of a 1, 2, 3 etc.? I am thoroughly confused! Is anyone else having this problem? I've never had it before!

Hi again,
You're very welcome. Will reply asap to your PM.
As for the order probs, don't worry Avon are aware of the fault. Yesterday it was OK and today everyone's order that I know of has changed like yours. SL Helpline assured me this morning that our orders would come out as normal, it's just that the View Sub-Total facility is - again  - not currently available. Hopefully will be sorted asap.

Thankyou once again MarsdenCuckoo.
I was just looking back through the forum for my original post and it has disappeared, not sure why, maybe because I was advertising my Avon books etc. for sale? Any ideas anyone?

Just guessing, but we're not allowed to offer items for sale on here - it's against MSE's T&Cs I think.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
