Hi as i havent had a xmas with avon yet is it good policy to give customers gifts at xmas - just so i can start getting ready if needed

I usually give everyone a christmas card with a sample in, it would work out too expensive for me to give them a gift (I give them a free gift with every 6 orders), this way even customers who hardly order from us get a card to show we're grateful for their custom! x
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

A month into sales leadership and have 6 reps signed up (only 2 put in orders though, 1 rep was only signed up today so I will let her off lol)
Getting some territory in a couple of weeks as handing in my notice in work next week, have a bit more time for avon before uni starts :j. Just ordered some business/appointment cards from vista print. Going out prospecting next Friday with a fellow SL in Salford.

Yes, I do similar, everyone gets a card; first year I put a Bailey Irish Truffle in some; others got a different individually wrapped chocolate; second year I read on here about how chocolate may not be a good idea so some customers got Avon pens (others just got a card).

I don't give gifts every campaign but occasionally I give a gift to the highest orderer in my current campaign. Obviously, customers don't know if it's right or wrong - sometimes I give a few i.e. to encourage good customers to order even more. ;)

Not for everyone, granted, but just wanted to post up that online customers are being currently being offered a free Antler Glam Box if they order £35+ (+ free delivery) - voucher code is GLAM2

Worth thinking about if you order via Quidco (10% cashback at the mo) - the Summer Eye Set is also available @ £10 as are all the C12 offers.

Well done. :T Will the other 3 be ordering i.e. so you qualify or have they fallen by the wayside already?

Not been on for a while - rather lost my enthusiasm at the moment. Sales have fallen, I think due to poor offerings in brochures recently and customers on their hols. Hoping things pick up in september as some of the brochures look pretty good for autumn.

All 3 children off to different places for next week so just me, DH and new kitten. Will try to spend some time devising a strategy for recanvassing in september/october and order extra brochures with the good stuff in. Will also need to look at my goodie box and think ahead to Christmas pressies for my customers - I left it a bit late last year and it was all a big rush.

Think sales quite often slump this time of year, as you say, due to holidays. One way to avoid is to find new customers, who have not seen an Avon book for a while. A new rep in my downline, who started last campaign has just been given an order for £78 :T whereas another well established rep, whose normally hits HOV has only got 6 orders in from her customer base of 30+ and is no where even near MOV. New customers are definitely the key ;) so nothing down for it other than to recanvass!

Good luck finding some new enthusiasm (or failing that, why not take a bit of a break and hopefully you'll then miss Avon so much you'll 'bounce' back! :rotfl:)

One has been removed by my ASM this morning as she was giving us the run around. I could see this coming tbh she had a shocking attitude, she said "If I can't be bothered I am not going to do it!" Some people just don't want work. 2nd rep seemed nice and really up for doing avon, I had an email from my ASM's boss asking if I knew if she would be putting in an order. I tried phoning the rep but it went straight to voicemail so left her a message. The third is a work colleague, her order is in today but she has not even registered to manage her business online. She isn't in work today so I left her a message too. I appear to be off to a very shaky start.

I don't think it's very fair to do online only offers that we cannot match  It's the reps that do the hard work after all.

Having the week from hell! My Dad had an accident, air ambulance the whole works, in a wheel chair for brokens bones to heal, and seing specialists today. This happened on order day, so I ended up with a late rushed submission. Then, hadn't had a chance to get money in bank to clear balance :o Only noticed this morning the order was held, they didn't ring or email or anything, have paid though so hoping it won't be too delayed. Then had some late orders, enough to make an extra order worthwhile, so submitted it last night... Only to receive an order this morning!!
OH is due to go away to work, to try and reduce our money worries, but with everything else going on, it's going to be very hard going :o. If you got this far, thanks for reading. Feel better for just getting it all out!
If anyone knows, when I am likely to receive my orders, that would be really helpful. Normal delivery is monday, and extra order submitted when I paid to get my original one released (last night). TIA
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

missminx sorry i cant help with questions but i hope your dad is on the mend soon. father in law broke his heal this time last year and although it was quite a while before up and about again he hasnt been too badly affected by it luckily.

Do sales tend to pick back up again after school holidays? This campaign has been very slow for me, and although i have 4 new customers already this time round average order values are much lower. last month were almost £16 were as this month they are around £8. Just hoping my last collection today will bring in a few more orders

Mmm... not that good then but early days yet. Unusual to get a call from your "ASM's boss" about order management - what area are you in?

Little tip: now we have online appointing, it's a good idea to make sure your new rep has their account no., registers online and starts to input their first order whilst you're still there. Yes, it takes a bit longer to do the sign-up but some new reps do struggle to actually register because the system is soooo 'picky' about inputting data in a specific way. Came across a rep recently, who had been trying to register for hours and was thinking of jacking Avon in because of her initial hassles - one of them was her not being able to complete the registration process. :(

Good luck with your next lot of leads.
