I have posted my first lot of brochures through doors on way back from school run. Could not find house number 11? 9 and 13 but not 11 - very strange. Took my 3 year old son along and knocked on all doors. As soon as they answered he held up book for them which almost made them take it. They all seemed happy to so we will see if i get any results from it or not.

We have dont' have number 13's round here!! Have got 6 streets which could have one, but not a single 13...

    Have got a street which has a 74 & 76, but no 75.

You don't notice these things until you start knocking on doors & writing it down. :rotfl:

    Good luck with your catalogues

it is sometimes to do with the way they build houses. Sometimes when they were building streets, they estimated that they would build houses with numbers x to x, but then something may have happened. Like a house was removed, and an alleyway built, or an entrance to something, 2 houses may have been amalmgated, etc. I can see it a lot around here where I live. There are house numbers missing but you can see why, one is an alleyway to the park, another has removed the house, and has extended garden and drive.

Why don't you look at Sales Leadership? I set myself the goal of PC first and then decided to give the SL route a whirl. My upliner kept trying to entice me in but didn't think it was for me. Got to admit now I prefer the SL side of things to the customer-end. Of course, you still have to do HOV yourself so means you just cherry pick a few of your best customers and pass the others on to your team members. They get the hassle of the delivering and you get a commission for having recruited them.

Like Joanne, I feel a bit jaded with Avon. Ive been doing it for two years, but about six months ago, moved out of my original area to a new town and started again. The intial thrill of recanvassing has worn off though I have found it useful to meet people and make friends. The trouble is they are mostly oaps and spend £2 a time. I have thought about SL but cant think of anyone from my customers here or at the other place who would want to do it, due to their age mostly. I dont know loads of people and dont fancy standing in town centres, or approaching people- so how do you actually get people????????

Could be just the thing to spark you back up again and it would be such a shame not to put all your expertise to good use.

I need 'sparking' and do have good ideas.......just no one to lead

On my last but one delivery I got campaign 10 brochures and a stack of campaign nine special offer booklets so I am adding lots of back orders from that booklet to my campaign 10 order....I just hope the items haven't run out already

Got my C10 delivery yesterday and the Oasis watches and toothbrushes were still in stock. Was shorted by the bathroom scales though.... does say they're to follow but time will tell. Few other bits out of stock but fingers crossed you'll be OK.

Ah, bless. It does help if you have a supportive upline team. I would never have qualified if it hadn't been for my upliner literally dragging me out the door and taking me to enough sign-ups to get me qualified. Am now aiming for Advanced Sales Leader and, again thanks to my team, it should just be round the corner! Fingers crossed.

    Debt-free and Proud!
I am really struggling with Avon at the moment. It's more to do with the fact that my 2 year old is having tantrums about her pushchair and screams and shouts down some roads wanting to get out but the trouble is she is into the habit of running off and I have tried walking with her on the round but she gets tired and wants me to carry her and I can't cos I'm pregnant and have bad hips and exhausted from feeling ill all the time. Just now she was throwing herself around so much in the pushchair that I couldn't push it properly or get it over curbs and I've got back and my arms are aching and I feel exhausted! I am thinking I will have to give up or maybe drop a road because I am struggling to get round one road.
Sounds like a cop out esp as I do enjoy it but I am finding it so tough at the mo, could I take a few months off or would my customers just go else where? or could I just stick with my regular customers. Not sure what to do for the best.

    When's Baby due?

I'd try and maybe stick with doing regulars for now if you can manage it - remember you and baby are more important :)

Also, I've found that by missing out those houses that haven't ordered anything before, when they do get recanvassed you will pick up a few new customers :D, I think they appreciate seeing the book all the more when they haven't had one shoved through their door for a while.

Even if you did decide to drop the territory all together you could still keep on any customers you already have as friends and family ;)
