You can return the 55p book as you didn't order it, I do this for the book I get sent on OH account.
You can miss a campaign, and it won't cost you anything if you don't order anything - just let whoever you joined with know.
In theory, yes you could still return the free order forms, but - if you don't order brochures, you'll get charged 55p for a single book, so then it would trigger the delivery charge. If you order brochures and nothing else, you won't get charged delivery. This is from my asm who I think was told by her boss - they won't penalise you ordering brochures to be able to continue your business, otherwise it would put too many people off!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Hmm, I'm still really struggling with mine. I got my C9 and C10 books out yesterday (27 books total) and will collect on Monday then re-distribute to collect on wednesday in time for the order deadline. Still not getting any orders and getting really disheartened with it. Although what I am now doing is looking at my calling book and checking who does and doesn't return the books and if I don't get the book back 3 times then I cross them off the list.
I found the top end of my street they were hopeless for giving the books back but at the bottom end they leave them outside on the day. (They still don't order anything though.) I've also started doing the next street along now I have more books to go around. Am thinking also of ordering more books next time so I can cover more houses.
I'm annoyed as well that I put in a big order for myself last time - I got the fitflops, sunscreen, the pearl choker and the dental water-jet, as well as a few birthday presents for people, and it came to £60-something, but I haven't earnt anything on it as it was across 2 brochures, 1 clearance & 1 HT. So I could have broken up the order and given myself more time to pay for it all. I didn't realise the MOV had to be from one brochure.
Sigh. Here's hoping for better luck this campaign.Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -
MOV doesn't have to be from one brochure - when you put your order in you can order from 2 brochures at the same time but it all counts as one order, so it all counts towards MOV/HOV. Items from HT count towards this as well (although we pay the price stated in HT as it's already been discounted).
So this time, I'm ordering from brochure 9, but I can also order from brochure 8 on the same order, and it all gets counted as a single order.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Hi all
Just wondered if anyone has ever had much luck from canvassing using expired brochures?
I've been allocated a few roads around me, about 120 houses in total, but I'm struggling to canvass with current brochures as I can't afford to order loads, and only have the time to canvass once per campaign...
So far I've managed approx 20 houses on the previous campaign - I got 2 orders, 3 requested no more brochures, 2 missing books and the rest didn't mark the tick sheet. So, I've re-canvassed all those that didn't reply and now most of them have said no more brochures. However that has taken me 2 campaigns to do all that. I could now move onto the next 20 or so houses, but at this rate it will be Christmas before I get round my whole territory
So I'm thinking of being very "money-saving" :money: and using all my expired brochures to do the whole lot in one go, and adding a leaflet with some of the current/upcoming offers, and a free gift with every order over £10 to entice them to contact me for a new brochure....
I know some people don't like phoning up strangers, so I would add the option of emailing, texting or contacting me on my avon facebook page.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!! Thanks:heart: I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?0 -

I use my expired brochures to canvass my territory - however thats after I've delivered/collected at a least a couple of brochures. But as you say, it would mean you could cover all your patch in one go, give them an exclusive offer to encourage them to get in touch. Then maybe in a couple of months you can carry on canvassing in the convential way using your back-order brochures - might help to pick up any other customers who might be interested xAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Hi,
Newbie here - signed up yesterday after knock on my door!
I've been left 40 books (Campaign 8) to circulate. I'm a little confused by people talking about order dates next week - I thought I had until 27th May to place my order, so am hoping to get the books around about 4 times to cover my patch. Will get my patch confirmed early next week I hope.
Have drafted a welcome letter to go in the bags, kids are doing the catalogues/order forms for me
I'm guessing I'm a little behind on the books, as C9 has just started, but I'm confused that people are circulating C9/C10 together. Are they released in batches?
Enjoying reading the last few pages to get some ideas - thanks :jNow proud Mumto3 :j0 -

yeh I return the 55p books tooThe problem is even if I don't order anything they'll still send me that, and it will be cheaper for me to pay the £2.50 charge rather than order the books as my SL offers such a good deal (I'm guessing at cost to herself so I'm very lucky!)
I'll most likely order something over £10 & return it to be honest.
Good to know though that if you are missing a campaign can still order books for the next one though, thanks for that info.0 -

don't worry - they will have told you the right dates. The whole country has different order & delivery dates which is why some people are already onto another brochure when you aren't.
Good luck - check out the first page, first page which has links to some hints & tips and other useful bits xAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Saturnalia - I think its because you didn't quite hit MOV. Keep going with the canvassing sometimes it just takes a few campaigns before customers trust you enough to place an order.
vickster*arsenal - I think its probably worth doing so that they know you are their rep so anyone particularly keen can contact you, while you get round all the streets. I recanvass with expired brochures inbetween proper recanvassing just because I don't have the time to do it very often so it might be 6 months between recanvassing. At least prospective customers know you're out there
Mumto2 - everyone has different campaign dates so don't worryalso you can order from the previous brochure so you might be on C9 but are still able to order from C8.
Good luck to the new ladies0 -

Thanks Lozza, I think I'm going to give it a go when I'm back off holiday at the end of the month, and I'll let you know how I get on!! I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?0
