My ASM just emailed me to say that one of the streets she'd given me was actually allocated to someone else, made worse by the fact I put 30 books out there last night! I feel awful!! Some apologies to be made if the rep gets in touch!

How can my ASM get it so wrong though? Surely it's either allocated or not.

That was my last chance for territory orders before I go away as well so unfortunately I'm not going to get any at all - raging! I feel so bad as well, the other rep is going to think I'm an absolute cow.

Print out the email and take it with you when collecting. If you find a customer of the rep, you can always show them that and explain the honesty in your actions. They will probably tell their rep what has ahppened for you. Not your fault at the end of the day :)
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

It was the rep that got in touch with the ASM so she already knows, I dunno what to do if I get any orders though! I really need them but I know I should give them over!

Yes - I'd forgotten about it until I started to log in today, noticed the date, and thought "oooh hope its all changed" ....... but it hasn't!

For those of you who have had other reps on your area, don't worry. I have had 2 now in the past few months. The first one I rang - she had been told by her SL that she could put books where she liked, she was fine once I put her straight and I've not heard from her since.

The second one again I rang - they had apparently "misunderstood" their territory - ASM soon cleared it up over email and again not heard from them again. There is still some overlap over a few houses on one of the streets which we share but it doesn't affect any of my customers so I've left those houses to the other rep.

The first time I found a book from the other rep while I was picking mine up, and the second time my customers told me about the other rep dropping books on my patch - two of them kept their book and refused to give it back so they could give it to me!

Hope everyone's OK, C9 looks like it might be a bit pants - had a couple of customers complain that the book isn't very good grrrr. I can feel an offer coming on for C10 ........

OH has just started a new job after being made redundant last year, and so might start canvassing again now the weather is better as well!

Do use the delivery slips prior to delivering the order. I always use them, get over 90% of my orders out 1st time this way.

I also learnt the hard way to get your new books out prior to delivering the order, so you get your books back when you deliver the order. Saves a lot of street walking.

You run your customer round in EXACTLY the same way as me!

Put order in on the Friday, invoice goes online on the Tuesday, do delivery slips on Tuesday and advise any OOS's & "bag up", drop books on Wednesday. Deliver orders the following Tuesday, and usually do 90% of them on that day, and get some of the books back from those customers. Drop remaining orders the following Tuesday and collect all remaining books back ready to pay bill at Post Office on the Wednesday and put order in again on the Friday!

Delivery slips not only remind your customers when you are coming, but, once trained, most of them will also have the right change!

Anybody who isn't in on either Tuesday is asked to collect the order from from my house.

Blimey that sounds complicated, I feel like I need a flow chart or something ....... Now all I need to do is fit canvassing into this merry little schedule!
