Forgot to say for my 2nd campaign - No.6, I had sales of £494.09 and 7 new customers, well chuffed, I was hoping to break the £500, which technically I did but with a bit of creative ordering, my sales just dropped under...roll on Campaign 7

Still haven't plucked up courage to go get my brochure from the lady who didn't order

You get sent the sale brochures automatically, you just order the number of brochures you require, and if that brochure has a sale booklet with it, they send them out the same amount as main books you order.

Do you order these when you order your brochures? I didn't know about it until i collected my catalogues and a "potential" customer gave me two books, one mine in my avon bag and one with no Rep's name/number but the clearance book enclosed

Clearance books are automatically sent when you order your books. But if you were given your books by your SL/ASM when you signed up, they may not have given you any. Some upliners just don't give them to people who sign up.

Had a busy avon day today, delivered brochures to our usual customers who didn't order in C5, took some books and bits to a newish rep who was running short, and then delivered 73 books to our new streets - involved a steep bank at one point lol. A few people were out, asked if they wanted a brochure, and they said no - BUT - at least it means I've not wasted my time deliverying to them so it's meant I've covered a bit more. Didn't quite have enough books, still got about 50ish houses to do. Books are to collect Monday, stray ones Tuesday, so should be able to repackage to deliver Friday, collection Sunday, ready for our order being submitted on Tuesday :) Fingers crossed we get at least one new customer!

Think I will keep giving her the books as she always pay before and everyone does have hard times and has told me and not been the type to not answer the door and you know there in and told you come back a day best for them.

Having a rubbish day with avon I cant find my address book with house i need to recanvas :O(

Perseverence is the key..... we all have bad days so hang in there, it should be worth it in the end.

Can't remember how often I've turned the house upside down looking for my 'bible' - I now always have a spare calling book with the important details in it.

What do other Avon rep do when a customer say I cant afford the 2 shower gel she order. Do you give her another book or never delivery her another book?

Agree with NB; life happens and all my customers know that am more than happy to fit in with their own 'financial timing'. Saves embarrassment on their part and wasted trips on mine. It can be worth easing such customers through but, as ever, it's your business and your choice.

Hi all, this is my second campaign, a potential customer (who was a learning assistant at my daughter's school so I know but know well) was really excited when i put campaign 5 thru her door, she said neither she not her daughters wanted from this book but love avon and couldn;t wait for next book. Went to collect campaign 6 yesterday and she said oh no the girls haven't written out their orders, said i would pop back, she said save you the trouble of bringing baby out one of them would pop it thru my door later...never happened, sent daughter round this morning and just said Miss X really sorry to knock but mummy has to place her avon order today, did you want to order or shall i take book back for you..she replied, oh no girls in bed but are getting up will get them to write it and i will ring mummy...haven't heard from her what would you do...

Sometimes the more you pander to customers, the worse they get so.... personally, I'd drop them a note/email saying something along the lines of "To avoid disappointment, please let me have details of any order by 8pm on ......day". Know for a fact that a lady on my team would definitely starve them of the next book i.e. to make them appreciate it more. :rotfl:Seems to work for her; by the time she allows 'unhelpful' customers another book, they're gagging for it! :T

Good advice though is to get their email address and communicate with them that way. ;)

She doesn't look it though! :kisses3: I'm hoping I've inherited the genes! ;)

C6 is looking surprisingly promising at the moment. I'm at just under £100 at the moment with nothing back yet from any of the regulars (they only got their books on Tuesday / wednesday with the orders). I've had two "occasionals" order, plus another two new customers - both from houses where I wouldn't have expected orders! It seems a lot of people on Connects are finding this one pretty good as well so fingers crossed for it to continue that way for all of us.

Oh - I also have (fingers crossed) found a lucrative bit of CO this time:
Customer orders Clinical Eye Lift from C6 @ £13
    I order it from C5 - @ £10
Then spot the "Clinical Beauty Treats" Set in C6 Clearance for £10 - the full size eye lift, plus a full size mascara & trial size luminosity cream
THEN with a bit more digging I find the "Clinical Beauty bonus" in HT - a SSS Airbrush spray, a trial size Derma-full and a trial size Thermafirm, plus what looks very much like a full size eye cream! - £4.00!!! Assuming it comes OK, I will hang onto the Airbrush as a freebie, and pass on the two trial size products to my customer as an extra for her to try - might encourage her to buy more Anew!

Newbies - always remember if you have a customer order an Anew eye cream when there are not associated freebies attached to check out clearance for the bonus sets - there's nearly always one or more in there, and more often than not they feature a full size eye cream! :D

The Clinical Eye Lift quite often features in HT Clearance but think you may find it's now sold out..... Be careful about stockpiling these now, Avon are changing the packaging (and supposedly the formula).
