    Hi Don

no, you can't report this person. They may be a friend or family member that do Avon or a referral from an existing customer, so they are able to come and see them and drop a book.

I have customers that don't live in my territory, picked up by referral, who then find an avon rep appears in their street but they keep buying from me.

As others have said it could be friends/family/referral etc, I've got customers elsewhere who have found me on Facebook. I know their street is taken, as I get given vacant territory list by my asm to look for new reps (not customers) so either their rep isn't canvassing properly, or they aren't giving a good service. Either way, if someone asks you for a brochure you are entitled to deliver one to them, regardless of where they are. Which can work in your favour as you'll start getting referrals yourself in time as tour customers recommend you to their contacts.

Many thanks, I, Geek for explaining how you do your A5 intro note. That has been really helpful to me as I wasn't sure exactly how much to say. I like the idea of keeping it short and to the point. I'm looking forward to getting started and hopefully getting some orders :-)

As for getting every book back, I don't expect to get every one back and I often get them back stinking of cigs, damaged or as was the case yesterday, bitten through by a dog  I don't give those damaged out again, but the ciggy smelling ones I leave to "air" and then spray with some perfume which is from the Avon ;):rotfl: 2 birds, 1 stone in my opinion (promoting the perfume & covering up the smell :rotfl:)

Fine line sometimes but it's a good idea to never put a book out that you wouldn't like to receive yourself. Many moons ago I got a really tatty book posted through my door.... never dawned on me that I'd be on the other side of the coin years later but the memory stays with me that I didn't even want to touch it, let alone peruse it at my leisure. You sure Avon perfume covers 'ciggy smelling books'? (Anything that remotely smells of cigarettes I put straight into the bin - recycling, of course! LOL)

Ahh just recieved my order and I am gutted! i thought i had achieved MOV in both camps to get a reward and i am under MOV in one by £2 because a product wasn't included, grrrr.

If the item 'not included' was showing as out of stock at the time of ordering (red cross) and/or a back order from HT clearance (not allowed/never delivered) then Avon will stand their corner. IF, however, it's showing in your online order (check under 'Track My Orders') then it looks like it's Avon's fault - call them and let them know that you are entitled to your commission.

Having said that, have just reread your post - when you say you thought you'd reached MOV "in both camps" - you ARE just inputting one order per campaign I hope i.e. in campaign 6 you order from both C6 and C5 - you don't input two separate orders. Hope that makes sense, if not, just ask.

Well only got half of my books back so far! still 20 not been put out so I posted notes through them all today asking them to leave them out for me tomorrow morning...

Bit of a question - one woman I collected the book back from says that someone comes and drops a book off to her and her next door neighbour to take their order. Should I report this to my coordinator since officially this lady is now in my territory? I have a feeling I couldn't do much about it but this lady does order so it is a bit galling to think someone else is getting orders from my territory :(

Also I have only had 2 orders out of 20 books so far - not so good I guess but I am prepared to stick with it for a few campaigns and hopefully people will realise I am going to be reliable unlike previous people who have done it.

As LP says, stick with it. 1 order in 10 is about the norm when you first start. Unfortunately, maybe because of the low start-up fee, a lot of people start doing Avon but then give up because it's not as easy as they were hoping.... Avon is definitely what you make it; the more effort you put in, the more you will get out of it.

Have lost count of the amount of times I've been told about some 'useless' rep, who never bothered to come back to pick up a book. A rep on my team is actually one such ex-customer.... I noticed a very wet Avon book on her doorstep and being nosey I had a peek. It had an order in it and had been there for weeks! I took the yukky book + order home, dropped her a brand new book and made sure that her 'free gift' as a thank you for her first order with me was one of the products in her old order ;)

As for other reps on your territory, as your upliner should have told you when they signed you up, all reps can sell to anyone they know personally (on a Friends and Family basis) so that means there will always be overlaps between F&F and Territory reps. Just because the street is allocated to you as Territory doesn't necessarily mean that you will be the only rep servicing customers on that street; just means you're the only rep, who's able to cold canvass it. IF, however, you suspect another rep is cold canvassing your street then, yes, report that to your upliner/ASM.

Good luck building your customer base. The first few campaigns are the hardest - honest!

Recanvased half my territory....got 2 new customers, yay! bUT why is it always the new customers that incorrectly read the book???????? her order comes to exactly £10, and underneath she has put the code for the 'free' bag...grrrr, it isn't a free bag, the bag is the £10 when you spend over £10 one!!! so my question is how do you handlethiskind of circumstance?

last time I had this was with a new customer and the digital scales.... In the end she brought everything quite happily but I waited until I delivered her order to correct her..... Not really sure that was the right approach!! so Do I order the bag an then explain to. The lady that actually it is £10, or contact her before hand and risk her cancelling her order because really she only wanted the 'free' bag? thanks peeps!!

I would contact her before you order, she will appreciate your honesty and you looking out for her. Maybe offer her a small free gift, if she still buys, but doesn't buy the bag.
