Subtotal view
We are aware of an intermittent problem in viewing the subtotal page from the "view my order" screen on your website. We are working to rectify this as soon as possible and will keep you informed.

Hi all, dropped off my first lot of books today - trouble is, I have a baby in a pram I might need to take with me at times. And the ones I dropped off today were flats with stairs. Obviously there is no way I am leaving my baby alone outside whilst I drop off/pick up books and orders.
So far only two streets have had these flats and I can work around these on the days my husband is not working. But if the other 4 streets I have are the same, do you think I would easily be able to ask to change streets?
My coordinator knows I have baby already so I figure maybe she doesn't know how many flats there actually are.
Also I couldn't access some as they were locked from inside so had to skip quite a few numbers as they had no intercom systems etcBSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -
Well I've gotten all my books back in that I'm likely to get back. I've done okay and DD was pretty much okay tonight except when someones dog when mad when I knocked. Having said that I jumped as well :rotfl::rotfl: The neighbour of that house left me a note saying "If you don't knock loud the dog next door barks and you can't hear nothing. I don't need any Avon. Thanks" - I've taken that as they don't want another book.
Now I've just got an abusive phone call from a pensioner who said I was threatening her because I put a calling card though and ticked "called for your brochure", underlined "call me" with my details and then wrote "Order is being placed on Wednesday by 9pm" She'd obviously misread it or what I'd written was too ambiguous so I apologised for making her feel that way, she said she had left the book out (It wasn't there otherwise I would have picked it up!), took her address and agreed never to put a book through again. That is the first abusive person I've had in 129 houses, its just taken me by surprise that it was a pensioner
Not happy with Avon though, the ponchos are out of stock, and I've got 2 separate orders for them from my best customers.According to the stock thing they're not expecting any more either...now whether to believe that or not is another thing :rotfl:

It's difficult when you first start, Nicki, i.e. until you've built up and get to know your customer base.
If books are not on the doorstep I knock; if no answer I now post a note 'Sorry I missed you when I called for your book/order today. Will call back again tomorrow (.........day). Please leave the book outside. Thanks.' If the book still isn't out the next day then I post through a note 'Sorry to have missed you again. Am placing my order on .......... If you would like to order anything, please call/email me by ........... Thanks.'
Don't be put off by the experience with the OAP, she might have been going through a really bad patch and sometimes the slightest thing can be misconstrued. As for the poncho's and Avon's stock levels..... I wouldn't hold my breath but don't be surprised if they appear as an online offer to reps in a few months!Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

If your territory is not workable and/or working for you then, yes, of course you can ask for different territory. There's no guarantee it will be any better and/or nearer but if you don't ask you don't get.

Thats the thing though, this is the third time I'd knocked  I went round the estate on two separate occasions Monday morning before coming home, getting calling cards that said "I'll call back tonight after 6pm" so those who were out at work could be covered and knocking on doors at lunch time in the hopes that people who won't answer of a night would answer then. I put a card through her door as there was no answer, called again that night and got no reply again so I put a card through saying "I'll call back tomorrow night after 7.30pm" (I do voluntary work Tuesday & Wednesday day times in a school so can't collect during the day then). Knocked tonight, no answer left the card saying the order will be going in tomorrow (okay so its Thursday but that leaves me with CO time) and then within an hour of me getting home I get that phone call!
I think I'm going to order some postcards from Vista print that say something along the lines of "I have been unable to collect your Avon book. I will be placing an order on ............ please contact me if you wish to place an order". Then standard ones which say "I've been unable to collect your book on this visit. I will call back again tonight after 6pm", and then other options as I always call back at the same times. One so it can't be misread and two to save my poor hand from all the writing I'm doing on the Avon supplied cards! :rotfl::rotfl:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
