can someone correct me, when you have made a returns, on the following invoice do they make commission corrections?0
-
Returns don't show up affecting the "you earned" total. Further down on the invoice you'll see the "your cost" of the returns being credited to your account. I work out what commission I've lost from each set of returns and record it in Excel. The table's very wide! So after all the money in/money out columns I'll have a column that's my profit, but then I have to take off commission lost (another column) and then there's my final profit (another column).I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.
I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I, Geek, do you have a template spreadsheet? If you do (any chance i could be cheeky and ask for a copy?) As soo far other then keeping my invoices, and order forms, I've not done any other kind of book keeping for my avon
as although i have created a spreadsheet for my own budget, I'm pretty sure id find it easy enough BUT I feel rather brain dead still at the moment, from working out so many sums regarding our own budgets lol.0 -
I, Geek I second that! Could I also be cheeky and ask for a copy?
As Avon is my only paid job I'm on such a low income I'm still claiming housing & council tax benefit which means I need to produce accounts every couple of months. I took what I was told to take in on Friday and got told it wasn't good enough, they need a more detailed breakdown! Now I'm trying to work my way through "Teach yourself small business accounting" and get it sorted ASAP otherwise I won't be able to pay my rent on the 1st if they decide they don't like it:eek:
This trip out to collect books was slightly better. Out of 48 books I have 3 small orders, 3 "could you call back later so I can have a proper look"s, 3 who have reps, and 20 which have had calling cards put through saying I'll be back after 6pmI've had a few said they don't want any more but I don't mind, I still have 8 roads to canvass and one of those is a massive terraced road which is houses converted to flats
Off to attempt these accounts....flipping council :mad:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Just tried on the fit flops, and they fit ok so very happy
Brilliant!
Meanwhile I have put my white ones through the wash and am very pleased with the results! ( Thanks MC! )
Still going to try the black ones in size 5/6 and see how they feel compared to the smaller size - hope they'll be every bit as comfy as last years white ones.RIP Marmaduke 04.02.11, MIsty 09.06.12 and Rufus 19.7.24 very, very sadly missed xxx

If someone really didn't want an Avon book why take the time to cut out the words "DON'T" and "WANT" from a paper to put them with the book? weird behaviour.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0

MrsGSR - There are loads of weird people out there and you will find a few whilst doing Avon. I had one customer who wrote a long note about not wanting a book and not wanting to leave it on the doorstep and how they didnt buy Avon. All they had to do was tick the box on the form I put in asking if they wanted to carry on getting a book.0

Oh I know! I had one person write me a note explaining that they were a 82 year old widower and why would I think that they were interested, er cos I didn't know who lives there?!Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -

If that were me I would pop an Avon Pen through their door with a little note along the lines of "A little pressie from your local Avon Rep as I notice you were struggling to put your hands on a Pen":rotfl:
Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0
